3. I enjoyed these bits...

Ryan’s brain is chock-full of such cognitive dissonance that it would blow a normal person’s mind.
- snip - His hometown has been devastated by pull-down trade agreements yet he supports NAFTA and the World Trade Organization. He sees himself as a fiscal hawk while being an armchair warrior and military hawk (he wants to stay and win in Afghanistan). He offers “to restore the dreams and greatness of America” but opposes both public works projects to repair America and environmental health standards so Americans can breathe, drink, eat and work more safely. -snipski- He professes to be against crony capitalism, but he voted for the giant Wall Street bailouts and other bailouts and giveaways that define what real conservatives find so offensive. |

4. It would be helpful to know at least some portion of the text to which the hyperlink leads.

E.g.,
The truth is that what has distinguished this fast-talking, glib, Ayn Rand-smitten, congenial young man is that he has a plan for the federal budget. On Capitol Hill that fact alone makes one a “stand-out” in the field of political narcissists whose mental tank harbors gaseous one-liners and kneejerk slogans.
The Ryan budget plan is a Koch brothers’ dream and the American peoples’ nightmare. It leads with a lie – namely to control deficit spending by continuing it for at least 30 more years before his concoction of big tax cuts for the rich, further increases in the already bloated defense budget, and savage cuts in public services for the people, somehow balance the budget around mid-century. Ryan’s brain is chock-full of such cognitive dissonance that it would blow a normal person’s mind. He is a practicing Catholic, but since his youth has been a disciple of the militant atheist Ayn Rand who despised altruism and “love thy neighbor” values while edifying extreme selfishness and greed. |

One guy recommends vote 3rd party then he admits he has not decided which of the 3 3rd party people he will vote for.
I do believe Dems and Reps are both owned by corporate powers, but voting for a non viable 3rd party, is just a waste of a vote. IMO everyone has a right to vote however they wish. |

21. Rationally, it would seem that the passage of time would cause them to give up some of their hate or
|
they would at least be able to articulate the Nader policy positions that they hate.
Let me predict: 20 years from now, the Nader haters will still be spewing their hate. And they will still be wearing their seat belts. |

18. Nader attacks everything that moves and most things that don't.
|
I'm not going to bother even clicking on that link. He has become a liability and allowing him to have a platform on the very few occasions when he is not attacking liberals just allows him to have a platform when he is doing his usual thing.
I'll pass, thanks. |

20. "when he is not attacking liberals"? When has he ever attacked liberals? Ever? Do you have
|
any links to support that?
The claim that he is "attacking liberals" is inconsistent with his entire history. |

23. No difference between Bush and Gore.. You don't consider that an attack?
|
I will go look us specifics if I must but the very Idea that Nader doesn't attack liberals is beyond the pale.

24. "No difference between Bush and Gore"? On what issues? And how long ago?
|
If the issue is whether two persons like eggs and bacon for breakfast, and if both Bush and Gore expressed their admiration for eggs and bacon for breakfast 12 years ago, then there was no difference between Bush and Gore on the issue of whether they favored eggs and bacon for breakfast.
With respect to the eggs-and-bacon-for-breakfast issue, it doesn't mean that Bush was a conservative and Gore was a liberal. And if 12 years have past, it doesn't mean that their positions were intractable. It doesn't mean that any 2000 expression made by Bush for favoring eggs and bacon for breakfast meant that he ate eggs and bacon for breakfast every morning. Actions speak louder than words and Bush's actions may have shown that he didn't act in a manner consistent with his words. It also doesn't mean that, at 12 years, Gore unconditionally favors eggs and bacon for breakfast. There's no way that you can prove that, after the 2000 election, Nader ever said that there is no difference between Bush and Gore. If you have any quote in recent times saying that, just post it with a link to where that was said. There is also no way that you can prove that Nader ever said, with respect to all issues, that there is no difference between Bush and Gore. What's your basis for claiming that Nader has or is attacking liberals? That 12 years ago, with respect to some issues, it was said that there was no difference between Bush and Gore on those issues? That's it? That's the best you've got? |
