Yep, they went there: Blatant Racism From Romney Adviser

Do NOT let the mainstream media ignore this!

Mitt Romney would restore 'Anglo-Saxon' relations between Britain and America

As the Republican presidential challenger accused Barack Obama of appeasing America's enemies in his first foreign policy speech of the US general election campaign, advisers told The Daily Telegraph that he would abandon Mr Obama’s “Left-wing” coolness towards London.

In remarks that may prompt accusations of racial insensitivity, one suggested that Mr Romney was better placed to understand the depth of ties between the two countries than Mr Obama, whose father was from Africa.

“We are part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and he feels that the special relationship is special,” the adviser said of Mr Romney, adding: “The White House didn’t fully appreciate the shared history we have”.

Mr Romney on Wednesday embarks on an overseas tour of Britain, Israel and Poland designed to quash claims by Mr Obama’s team that he is a “novice” in foreign affairs. It comes four years after Mr Obama’s own landmark foreign tour, which attracted thousands of supporters.

How the HELL would your ethnic heritage have any impact whatsoever on whether you can "fully appreciate the shared history we have" with England???

7. Racism. How many times do some of us have to tell others on DU

that this is how it is before they jump in to deny it and twist into pretzels to dismiss instance after instance after instance?

8. At least once - this seems poorly worded but not racist

Or while the statement might be racist, that might be more to do with poor wording than with blatent racism - because if you take the words at face value they are pretty sweeping racism. Practically White Supremicist. I don't think that's what's intended - i think they just wanted to play up the special relationship we have with Britain - whatever that means (I think we've claimed a special relationship with most of the globe at one time or another).

9. Except they compared their "special relationship"

with "The White House" - meaning Obama...the black guy.

“We are part of an Anglo-Saxon heritage, and he feels that the special relationship is special,” the adviser said of Mr Romney, adding: “The White House didn’t fully appreciate the shared history we have”.

If they hadn't made that comparison I wouldn't be calling them racist.

They're trying to point out Obama is somehow different than most Americans. They've been doing this all along a lot more subtle than now with this racist crap from an anonymous adviser.

If you don't think it's racist then answer my question: How does the ethnic heritage of Romney give him any more understanding of our "special relationship" with Britain than the ethnic heritage of Obama? That was the comparison and IMO it IS racist.

11. I don't think that necessarily follows

I think they might well make this line of criticism no matter who was in the white house.

12. Even if someone else with obvious Anglo-Saxon heritage was in the White House?

Yeah right. Why bring up ethnic heritage if you're not comparing ethnic heritage with your opponent?

Many have pointed out that Obama does actually have Anglo-Saxon heritage, but that's not obvious when you look at him. That's why they're making this comparison.

Of course, now they're claiming that wasn't a Romney adviser. More lies...

I guess some are willing to give the Romney campaign the benefit of the doubt. I WILL NOT. I will hold them accountable for what they say as should our pathetic media who will ignore this alltogether. You are welcome to your own opinion but, in this case, I think it's plainly obvious what they are doing and what they meant.

13. Obama's mother's last name is Anglo Saxon

So this isn't even about him not being Anglo Saxon. He's more Anglo Saxon than a lot of Americans. I'm not at all Anglo Saxon, but I have a great deal of confidence this would never be said about me, as I'm white.
