Of the currently announced Democratic canadiates, who would you vote for?

Seeing all the infighting over who we should vote for - Infighting for candidates who HAVEN'T announced they are running - I wondered... Of the currently announced candidates, who is the most popular choice?

We've got three people up so far, and yes I do know that none of them have a chance in hell should the people on the fence actually decide to run, so out of these three who would you vote for?

Wiki links for those wondering about them

Want to buy a flamethrower? Soon to be available, completely legal in 49 states

The XM42 from Ion Productions is every pyromaniac's dream come true: a personal, portable flamethrower that's (amazingly still) legal everywhere except California. You'll be able to get your own flame on for as little as $700

Haven't seen a lot about this item, surprisingly.

At 700 it's pretty pricey, though it wouldn't surprise me if it sells out immediately. A item like this is a wet dream for a lot of people.

Yes, GMO's are great and here is why...

Did you know that the bulk of insulin used to treat diabeties is made using GMO's? 70% of it is produced using a technique called Recombinant DNA.

The HepB vaccine is ALSO produced by use of GMO technology.

Scientists have also created GMO bacterias capable of cleaning up mercury pollution and one that is able to detect arsenic in water supplies.

GMO's do have positive effects, despite what some people may claim.

Some people portray GMO's as the bogeyman hiding in the closet - As the above cases can show, GMO's are not as 'evil' as people try to slant them to be.

A memorial to the lives claimed in plane crashes

Topic inspired by the members who seem to believe that plane crashes are a joke, a event that should be laughed about.

Here are some recent crashes, and the lives claimed.

Transasia Flight 235, occuring on Febuary 4th. The plane took off but suddenly lost altitude and crashed into the Keelung River claiming 40 lives.

AirAsia flight 8501, occuring on December 28th 2014. Contact was lost inroute to Singapore, with wreckage later being discovered in the Java Sea. All 162 lives were lost, the families not even having bodies to bury for closure.

Sage Aviation, Private flight, occurring December 8th 2014. The plane crashed a mile from the airport, hitting a house. All three aboard the plane died, along with a mother and her two children who were in the house.

Let this be a memorial to the lives lost, lives that some here believe to be worthy of jokes and laughter. And may their families find peace despite those who find humor in the deaths of their loved ones.

Fox News - Obamas comments on Christianity are 'Verbal Rape'

Despite President Barack Obama's call to end rape during the Grammy awards Sunday night, Fox News guest Star Parker believes the president is guilty of committing "verbal rape" during his National Prayer Breakfast speech last week.

Participating in a panel discussion on "Hannity" Monday night, Parker took issue with the president asking Americans to remember that violence in the name of religion is not a phenomenon exclusive to Islam. Obama pointed to the Inquisition and the Crusades as instances in which murder was carried out in the name of Christ.

"Let me put it in context then, because I was in that room, and it was frankly verbal rape," Parker said.

But was it a legitimate rape?

Anyone know of pet rescue groups near the russilville area (I'm needing one, now.)

A drop off dog had puppies under my shed. I counted 4, but there are probably more.

I've tried city control, but since the mother appears to be part pit they are legally bound to refuse assistance.

With all the Ebola topics, I feel this is a needed reminder...

Anti-Marijuana ad being run in Florida

There's been a lot of chatter about Florida's upcoming vote on medical marijuana legalization bill, Amendment 2.

But No On 2, a campaign partially funded by Las Vegas casino magnate Sheldon Adelson, is taking the talk in a new, low direction: suggesting that legalizing marijuana used for people with seizure disorders and diseases would lead to date rape by pot cookie.

ďI think any woman should find that offensive to somehow suggest that if you use medical marijuana to deal with a health issue that youíre trying to deal with that somehow thatís going to make you more susceptible to rape," he added. "Itís really beyond the pale.Ē

"The only thing that's offensive is Amendment 2," countered No On 2 spokesman Javi Correoso in an interview with news channel WPBF.

Figured I'd repost this. Given how hot of a topic he is on DU right now, seemed a good time to.

Religious Freedom for All - As long as you're Christian (Beebe AR Church dispute)

Bertram and Felicia Dahl initially got a supportive response from the local government of Beebe, Arkansas, when they announced their intentions to open a church in the garage behind their home, but Mayor Mike Robertson completely changed his mind upon hearing that the Dahls' place of worship was a pagan church, reports Arkansas Matters.

...During a meeting with Robertson, he reportedly told them that they "would not be opening a Pagan anything" in the town, and that they would be barred from the docket if they tried to attend a town meeting.

City Attorney Barret Rogers told Arkansas Matters that the property could not operate as a temple due to the zoning laws. However, the property's R-2 zoning designation allows places of worship and private nonprofits with conditional and special use permits, a category which Seekers Temple falls into.
