Why would this be locked after a jury voted overwhelmingly not to hide it?

http://www.democraticunderground.com/10025307978

How does a definition of bigotry and a simple statement that some on DU MAY be guilty of it constitute a lock?

Especially since a simple DU search shows the moderator may not be unbiased.

It was alerted on by one of the few that took offense to the thread and overwhelmingly acquitted. Here are the results:

Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I do not understand what is being alerted on. I believe we are all bigots and some rise above. If it is Meta, then it is up to the hosts, not me, to block.
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Agree that it goes into the meta category, but that it not the jury's business.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: I think it's fine and producing a productive and non-disruptive discussion. The best kind of meta you might say.
Juror #7 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: broad brush ugly. please hide. ugh.

Was this post really worthy of a Meta lock????

I cannot believe that 7 out of 7 responding hosts voted to lock the thread as the moderator claimed.

I am a bit skeptical that you will listen given your recent posts about religion but my post was not even about religion (though if it made any reconsider any bigoted posts concerning religion, I would welcome it) but bigotry of all kinds. And nobody can deny that some forms of bigotry have been apparent on DU recently/
