Hey, for decades, mind you, decades...

We have been looking for a person that would justify our anger.
We, as Dems, have been searching, longing for someone, anyone, to extol our virtues
We have settled in the past. We said oh,ok, the lesser of two evil. But the lesser is still evil.
Is that what we want, need, expect?
That's a loser attitude.
You do not expect to win, anything, anything at all..

Now we are faced with a candidate that expresses that attitude that we embrace. People scream socialism, wrong look, etc. where have we gone wrong, where have we separated?

Rivers have two courses. One being the easy, the normal. The other being a course that may be a little different, a new course, a new way.

Why after all these decades must we continue on the same course?
Why after all these decades must we continue with the same old bull that put us in the situation we are today?
Why cannot we accept a new course? The old doesn't work, that's why we're here.

This country, this world is in danger. We are suffering, calling out for help.
We need to break the absolute control that the corporate world has on us.

We all know the facts about climate change, income inequality, sexual inequality, wage disparity and on and on and on. Our litanty, the Democrat Litany, our beliefs, our souls.

Look deep inside.

I don't post much anymore. I will probably not be here to answer much. Having a huge problem with my water supply. But I had to have my two cents put in. Plumber is calling.
I don't think I can afford this. But we will get through. We survive.

"It means we kill"

Occupying the top of the food chain is a very hard place to be. It means we kill.

We kill other species, we kill our own species. We cannot take the time to be introspective, because it's them or us, so we kill. I'm not only talking about animal species, we kill weeds, we kill grass, we kill insects, mostly because they are not in the place we want them to be. So we kill them, no bother anymore.

Humans are the only species on the face of this earth to be such indiscriminate killers. Humans are the only species on the face of this planet to have religion or philosophy which ironically teaches us not to kill. Killing must be an inherent trait.

We preach tolerance, love, understanding, that's all bullshit. It just makes us feel better. We need to kill. The sooner we accept that fact the better we will be.

I read today on this board we should be able to see the pictures of the dead. The dead of our wars, the dead of the plane crash because then when forced to look at the carnage, we may become sane. We may not want to kill after we see those graphic images. We may stop the killing. Bull.

What you don't get when you see pictures is the smell of death. The copper-like odor of blood, the smell of the elimination of body waste, the retching odor of decomposition. The lingering stench of charcoaled bodies, burnt beyond our comprehension. Once you experience that...you may become a little more of a pacifist.

Until we can understand why we kill, why we need to kill, we will never stop. There will be wars, we will hunt, we will slap insects, we will eliminate the undesirable plants in our midst. We will continue to kill.

Humans are a despicable species. Think of all the terrible things we are capable of, torture, murder, we revel in it, we glorify it. We entertain ourselves with our atrocities in movies, tv shows, literature.

We are capable of so much more. Look at the strides we have made understanding our world, understanding the universe we live in. Simply amazing. Yet we bypass the understanding of our very selves. What will it take? When will we say enough?

I have no answers, only questions.

Indeed, Whistleblowers are Traitors- Traitors to the Traitors

- See more at: http://www.boilingfrogspost.com/2013/07/31/indeed-whistleblowers-are-traitors-traitors-to-the-traitors/#more-23057

I'm letting this speak for itself. Post comments to the blog. I will try not to engage too, much.

Don’t Be Traitors to Those Who Have Honorably Betrayed the Real Traitors to the People

Over 200 years ago our Founding Fathers signed the United States Declaration of Independence. They were branded as traitors by their then government. They were traitors to the British Empire. In short, they were traitors.

The Declaration of independence marked the revolutionaries’ acknowledgment that the corruption of the English government was not limited to the Parliament, but extended to the King. For them, this was the point of no return: either the American revolutionaries were going to gain their independence and create a new nation, or, they were going to lose the war to the world’s best army, forfeit everything they owned, ruin their families, and be drawn and quartered. In other words, this was the point when our founding fathers and their revolutionary supporters officially became traitors.

The United States government has been engaged in ongoing, escalating and flagrant violations of the United States Constitution. This is a well-documented and widely-agreed-upon fact. Whether through illegal wiretapping of its citizens, censorship, undeclared wars or prosecution of government critics, the government has been consistently betraying the people’s rights and liberties guaranteed under the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution. The government has been a traitor to Americans’ privacy and liberties. The government is, and has been, a traitor to the people.

Whether by the government or its extension in the US media, whistleblowers have been portrayed, declared and branded as traitors. By speaking up on government criminalities, by exposing illegalities committed by the government, whether on torture or illegal surveillance or illegal wars … or many other illegalities and abuses of power, whistleblowers have become traitors to the United States government. These Whistleblowers exemplify the ultimate selfless disloyalty to a government engaged in illegalities. That is a fact: whistleblowers are traitors.

Detroit Is Still The Most Extreme City in America

Detroit is a great city, the people here, don't take a snub real well. We have been tried in the popular court of "This is what's wrong with our cities" too many times, much too often. We have been criticized, forgotten, given up for dead.

Well screw you guys! Come on visit the place where the great American Renaissance will take place.
We will be the first, the model. See us now!

Wednesday morning kicked off with a huge letdown for scores of Detroiters hopeful the city would be named the host of the Summer X Games. Unfortunately, sports broadcaster ESPN announced Austin has been chosen over Detroit, Chicago and Charlotte, NC, as the location of the extreme sports competition for the next three years.

Hosting the event, which has taken place in Los Angeles every year for the last decade, would have drawn visitors, positive attention and an economic boost to Detroit, and bid organizers worked feverishly for months to show ESPN that the network would benefit just as much from aligning itself with the city.

Well, ESPN, you might not have seen it that way, but that doesn't mean Detroit stays down when it gets knocked out. Whether or not the city hosts a sporting event, it's always been extreme. Here are just a few of the things that set us apart:

Now is the best time ...

To start to end all wars, I hope with all my liberal heart we fight for this again.

I fought for peace in the 1970's. Burned draft cards, got drafted with a C.O., fought for peace internally in the military.

War today is even more inhumane, if that is possible.
I see the Vets coming back. I'm in the VA hospital system.
I hear of the vets that don't come back, I see the families.

Let's use this time of Democratic power to STOP THIS SHIT.

Our monies in this country are precious.
We could save much if we only did not pretend to "save the world"
When is the last time a third world nation did that?
Yes, we are a third world nation. Wake up!!

I am a very male 60 year old Veteran of Viet Nam.
I cry every day, bawl, sob uncontrollably, because of the wars we are waging unneedingly.

Wanna save this economy?.. STOP WAR!!!!

Hawks can just, "eat duty and die"
Don't want to hear "That's all we manufacture."
Don't wanna hear, "Oh,That's this country's profit, it's this countries "product"."

Just be quiet. This country has a broken heart.
I have sat next to and hugged, men of honor without limbs.
I have seen and cried with families without a Daddy or Mommy, lost in forgotten wars.

Now is the time.
If not now WHEN?

Or should I just get used to the wailing, the loss, fingers and hands grasping my back in agony,
just to have human compassion, hot humid, ragged breathing on my neck, the wet spots on my shoulders,
the awful taste of the tears and snot, I have when I drive home to my wife?

Lyrics by Lucinda Williams: Soldiers Song

I met my enemy today
Baby sends the little one out to play
Enemy shot until my body's down
Baby rides the little one on the merry-go-round

By my post, I'm standin' guard
And baby hopes for roses in the front yard I don't know my enemy's name
Baby takes the little one to the baseball game

I'm on this godforsaken place
Baby washes the dirt off the little one's face
Ten year olds in the killing fields
Baby's planning her weekly meals

Bodies in body ditch
Baby's got a supper to fix
My buddy's got a hole in his head
Baby's got the little one ready for bed

Today I shot my enemy
Baby gives the little one a hug for me
Both my buddies' legs got blown off
Baby tends to the little one's cough

I stare down the barrel of a gun
Baby's goin' out to have some fun
I hear ringin' in my ears
Baby's face is all wet with tears

I hear echoes of shots
Baby's only thinkin' sweet thoughts
Why in the hell did they send me here to fight?
Baby kisses my picture and turns off the light

I can't look my enemy in the eye
Baby tells the little one, "Daddy's gone bye-bye"
Today I took a bullet through the heart
Baby's gonna have to make a brand new start

I met my enemy today
Baby sends the little one out to play
Enemy shot 'til my body's down
Baby rides the little one on the merry-go-round

Come on let us gloat !!

Found this comment on Raw Story in a comment section. I think it sums it all up.

My latest facebook post: "The sadist in my left-leaning soul is really enjoying today. And I'm not going to apologize for feeling that way."

This after listening to those people making posts as sore-losers today bash the President I voted for, twice now, for months. This after I put up with their manipulative passive-aggressive garbage that I don't care for them if I cast my vote for Obama. That I'll help usher in the destruction of the U.S. and make baby Jesus cry.

It wasn't the Dems that tried to steal the election through fraud, manipulation and suppression. It wasn't the Dems selectively citing the polls. It wasn't the Dems making public statements about how women should feel blessed if a man forces his penis inside her, then the govt. forces the baby out 9 months later. It wasn't the Dems referring to large portions of this country as "you people" and dismissing women and non-white people as lazy, slutty, do-nothing takers. It wasn't the Dems encouraging kids to borrow money from their parents and get themselves into heaps of debt for the chance to better their lives, even while college grads were having really hard times finding worthwhile work. It wasn't Dems calling for more war and pushing tax-payer dollars on a military that already knows it's pretty bloated. It wasn't Dems calling for de-regulation on any industry they can find without regard for the lessons we should have recently learned or the impact such decisions will have. It wasn't the Dems who categorically dismissed the facts because they inconveniently contradicted their opinions. And most importantly, it wasn't the Dems who made a pact on day one to obstruct everything the Dems and President Obama supported for the sole purpose of making the POTUS a single-termer.

I kind of want to twist that metaphorical knife they stuck in their own backs. The country is slowly moving left, progress always finds a way. They'll either adapt or be miserable.

Mass Revolt: from Boston Magazine

I was reading this post today and followed the sources posted in one of the comments at the link provided.

It mentioned an article at the Boston Magazine.

I went there and found this article,

Well worth the nine page read.

When he does talk about his time here as governor, it’s usually to pump up his bipartisan bona fides or brag about how he balanced the budget without raising taxes. (Strictly speaking, this is true, though helpfully devoid of context: All Massachusetts governors are constitutionally required to balance the budget, and while Romney technically may not have raised taxes, he did hike fees on a variety of government services.) What he does not discuss are the hugely successful bills he passed, like universal healthcare and an assault-weapons ban. Obviously, he also does not mention just how unpopular he was when he left office.

So please, America, pay attention. There’s been too little talk about Romney’s time as governor of Massachusetts, and now that you’re deciding whether to make him our next president, it’s worth understanding just how and why he alienated the voters who know him best. Because the big problems that have been plaguing Romney on the campaign trail—that he’s personally inaccessible, that he’s had trouble unifying his party, that he’s become known as a flip-flopper—all have their roots in Massachusetts.

After those first two years, Romney basically checked out of Massachusetts. He planned 78 town visits in 2005, and just 25 in the first 10 months of 2006 (the final two months of his 2006 schedules were missing from the records in the state archives). That year he spent all or part of 219 days outside the state, building his national profile.

Lately, Romney has taken to launching misleading attacks that tread on highly charged racial ground. Playing to a Michigan crowd in August, he said, “No one’s ever asked to see my birth certificate. They know that this is the place that we were born and raised.” Aside from dog-whistling to birthers, he’s been hitting Obama on welfare, launching ad campaigns falsely alleging that the president is trying to make it easier for recipients to collect free money without having to work. In reality, the Obama administration told state governments that if they wanted to experiment with new ways to fulfill the welfare system’s work requirements—ones that increased the number of people actually working—the administration would consider the requests. Both the New York Times and Los Angeles Times now flatly refer to Romney’s allegations as false. Other independent fact-checkers have also discredited the attacks. But that hasn’t stopped Romney’s campaign from continuing to hit Obama on the racially fraught issue, ever-so-subtly suggesting that Obama, a black president, is trying to make it easier to give handouts to poor (read: black) people.
