So Bush Has Decided To Skip The RNC Convention?

And the MSM stays super quiet, deciding to make it a non-story.

IMAGINE it was Bill Clinton who decided to skip DNC Convention, the MSM would be FEASTING on that story for weeks. And the rumors and spin-offs from THAT story would last until Election Day.

Ladies and gentlemen, your "Liberal media".

When is the media going to address the RightWing's 'terrorist wing'?

Yet they jump all over a "left-wing" protestor who breaks a window. There is real and dangerous domestic terrorism coming from the right-wing and the media just lets them off the hook. Even today, where is the outrage?! A racist, right-wing, neo-nazi, white supremacist that was a Tea Party activist & Sen. Russell Pearce's good friend went on a killing spree! He even killed a 2 yr old girl, not to mention 2 men & 2 women.

Then there's this Tea Party leader, Oath Keeper, and all-around asshole Charles Dyer aka 'July4Patriot', who raped and sodomized his 6yr old daughter. Oh, and they found a grenade launcher in his house as well. He even spoke at many Tea Party rallies and his Youtube videos were adored by the right-wing:

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2012/04/23/oklahoma-tea-party-supporting-oath-keeper-convicted-of-raping-daughter/

And our side can't even break a window without having all of the media outlets calling us "violent".

The right-wing is literally KILLING this country. From abortion doctors, to random killing sprees, to racial beatdowns, to shooting congresspeople (Gabby Giffords). Media, address the terrorist wing of the right-wing! Enough is enough! They've ALREADY waged war on us!

Self-Inflicted Wounds.

Regarding George Zimmerman. I wouldn't put it past someone who just realized they killed an unarmed teenager after the police dispatch told him not to follow someone to grab a knife, screwdriver, broken glass, etc. and cut himself in order to make it look like self-defense. I'm not saying this is what happened, but how can they rule out that wasn't what happened? Surface head wounds bleed ALOT even though they're usually very non-life-threatening. And it's easy to just reach around and cut yourself with a sharp object on the back of your head, especially not having to see the wound makes it easier. Maybe he heard the sirens in the distance, had an "oh shit I'm f**ked!" moment and needed a defense.

Maybe I'm wrong. Either way, Trayvon had every right to stand his own ground against someone who was stalking and menacing him. I don't know how the narrative took such a strange turn. This is how the narrative should have been coming from the media and news: Today a 17yr old teenage boy lost his life trying to fight off a man who stalked and initiated an attack on him. The young man lost his life while walking home from the store from a gun shot wound after his attacker opened fire on him, killing him on the scene.

George should have been arrested on day 1. The Sanford Police should be ashamed of themselves.

Here's a photo of Mitt Romney acting VERY "PRESIDENTIAL".

Fucking DISGUSTING P.O.S he is. This should go viral and expose him for the REAL P.O.S he is. This is fucking OFFENSIVE.

I would also like to add that even though a woman is holding the sign, (then Romney) I find it sexist as well. Chelsea's Moma?! THAT is what Hillary was reduced to?! This pic is from 2007. Not very presidential, Mitt. You got some explaining to do. This should RUIN you.

Meanwhile, back on Planet Earth: Obama had Osama killed.

Over 100 Law Professors Agree on Affordable Care Act’s Constitutionality

We, the undersigned, write to explain why the “minimum coverage provision” of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), which requires most Americans who can afford it to have health insurance or pay a tax, rests on sound, long-established constitutional footing. The current challenges to the constitutionality of this legislation seek to jettison nearly two centuries of settled constitutional law.

I'm ALL FOR single-payer, but I feel some of you are just not living in reality sometimes.

This is not personal towards anyone, just speaking my opinion.

Can anyone even show me a path to single-payer (besides Obamacare) that could have passed the House & Senate? Show me the votes! Here's the thing: Sometimes progress is measured one inch at a time. I feel some here truly believe Obama has a magic wand he's hiding from you because he couldn't address all the worlds problems in 90 seconds, or even only 3 years. Take Canada for example, they didn't just implement universal coverage over-night, NO! It took almost 15 years for them to slowly move towards universal healthcare. But somehow some people here expect MORE from this Pres. than any previous D Pres. in history. Where were those calls for single-payer during Clinton? Or Carter? Or even since MediCare was founded? Sure there may have been people calling for it, but those people didn't harbor the sheer animosity towards the Pres. of the time the way some here do. It's becoming like the teabaggers here sometimes the way people will go above and beyond to not give this Pres. credit for ANYTHING! He LAID THE GROUNDWORK for possible single-payer, but THAT'S not good enough. MILLIONS of people will now be eligible for MediCare that otherwise would have gone uninsured and possibly even died from lack of coverage. STILL, not good enough!

We currently have a Pres. in the WH that has been the MOST progressive Pres. we've seen in a generation and some seem willing to want to just 'throw the baby out with the bathwater' so to speak. I'll put Obama up against ANY Progressive in history:

FDR? Sure, great guy, had 12 yrs to enact his agenda and a VERY comfortable majority in house & senate (322 & 76). His Social Security bill had built-in exclusions that exempted nearly half of the working population from benefits, namely two-thirds of African Americans and about half of women. Furthermore, FDR’s New Deal employment programs discriminated against blacks and he was too scared of political backlash to support either an anti-lynching bill or a bill to abolish the poll tax, despite urging from First Lady Eleanor. But talk to me when Obama starts rounding up people and putting them in internment camps like FDR did during WW2 or starts discriminating against people based on race. I'm sure today's Progressives would just love that, right? Plus FDR backed down on HC reform. Still, he's considered one of the greatest Pres. of ALL TIME.

Truman? Truman broke up a railway workers strike by threatening to draft strikers into the military, exhibiting complete hypocrisy on his pro-union campaign rhetoric, not to mention a total disregard of the workers’ civil rights. Truman also failed to stop the anti-union Taft–Hartley Act from passing. Congress overrode his veto of the bill, which established the “right-to-work” standard that supersedes workers’ right to organize and collectively bargain in some states. Surely Progressives at the time saw this as a monumental failure and embarrassment for Truman. Truman, who is seen as a Progressive pioneer, is responsible for a near apocalypse in two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Talk to me when Obama starts threatening to draft strikers into the military and nukes 2 cities. Still...Truman is considered a great Progressive Pres.

LBJ? LBJ, who helped bring about the historic Civil Rights Act, wasn’t an absolutist. He continued wire-tapping of Rev. Martin Luther King and even eavesdropped on King’s sexual encounters. When an assistant once defended King’s antiwar activities, LBJ exploded: “Goddammit, if only you could hear what that hypocritical preacher does sexually.” Despite once saying that “The worst thing in our society would be to not be able to pick up a phone for fear of it being tapped,” LBJ was known to wiretap others as well, including the Vietnamese friends of a Nixon associate. Running for his first elected term in 1964, Johnson said on Vietnam: “Our response…will be limited…We seek no wider war,” thereby presenting himself as a peace candidate. Johnson increased troop numbers in Vietnam from 16,000 under JFK to 536,000 by 1968. That thirty-three-fold increase in troops greatly exceeds Obama’s four-fold increase in troops to Afghanistan since assuming office. As for casualties, more than 31,000 Americans died in Vietnam under LBJ’s watch, with American fatalities totaling 58,000 throughout the entire war. LBJ believed he had the right to intervene unilaterally to support the overthrow of left-wing, democratically elected President Juan Bosch of the Dominican Republic and João Goulart of Brazil in order to maintain authoritarian, anti-communist rulers in Latin America. Talk to me when...yeah, you know the rest.

Again, we currently have the ACTUAL MOST Progressive President, possibly in this country's history, and the problem Progressives have with him is that he's not as Progressive as people who they compare him to even though those people were actually LESS Progressive than he REALLY and ACTUALLY is?!

I don't get it. He is President of the ENTIRE country, not Pres. of only Progressives, or only conservatives, but EVERYONE. Meaning, you will not ALWAYS like his every move because YOU don't represent the full extent of the sheer diversity that makes up our Nation. You are just one part of a whole. All I see is a man who has done nothing but govern above & beyond every single day with only the best interests of ALL of our citizens in his heart. And THAT feels refreshing. Here is a man who has had to be the Jackie Robinson of Presidents. Playing with style, grace, class & determination while having to ignore the ignorant, racist taunts from the stands. All while walking on eggshells. A President, a Father, a Husband, a Leader, a Role Model, in his personal life and his politics. And YES, also a Progressive.

Btw: 2 Dems killed the public option. If you truly harbor resentment at least direct it in the right direction: Max Baucus (D-MT) and Joe Lieberman (D-CT). Baucus, the chairman of the Senate committee that drafted the law, received a $1.5 million “donation” from the health insurance lobby from 2007-2008, and another cool $1.5 million in previous years. Lieberman was the deciding vote at the time between Democrats and Republicans in the Senate, and he ]

Obama poised to win 2012 election with 303 electoral votes: The Signal Forecast.

With fewer than nine months to go before Election Day, The Signal predicts that Barack Obama will win the presidential contest with 303 electoral votes to the Republican nominee's 235.

Some pretty interesting mathematics going on in the article, of course this is just prediction: http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/signal/obama-poised-win-2012-election-303-electoral-votes-202543583.html

Bill Moyers: Where the Right Went Wrong

Interview With Conservative Economist Bruce Bartlett.

-SNIP-

BILL MOYERS: You've made the point that America's top earning one percent had an effective 33.1 percent federal income tax rate in 1986, and an effective rate of only 23.3 percent in 2008. And you say if the top one percent had kept paying at the 1986 effective rate, quote, "the federal debt today would be $1.7 trillion lower." That's a lot of money.

BRUCE BARTLETT: Well, that's right. And when I say effective rate that means the taxes that they paid divided by their income. So that tells you what the revenue is that the government gets from taxing them. And clearly, they were doing okay at the beginning of that period.

And that was Ronald Reagan's administration. Up until 1986, the top marginal rate, the top statutory rate was 50 percent. Now it's 35 percent. And all the pressure is on to lower that even further. And this just doesn't make a great deal of sense to me. When people say, 'Oh, we can't raise taxes on the rich. They'll go on strike, they'll move to another country.' But within recent memory, it hasn't been that long ago that we had rates that were substantially higher. And these people did just fine.

BILL MOYERS: Well, when I was growing up in the '50s the top marginal tax rate, if I remember correctly, was 91 percent.

BRUCE BARTLETT: That's right. And I just think that there's a disconnect between the facts of what taxes do and the sort of mythology of what they do.

Another common-sense multi-millionaire calls for higher taxes on the rich.

Venture capitalist and entrepreneur Nick Hanauer has stern words for millionaires -- it's time to pay your fair share of taxes.

The self-made millionaire, who sold his Internet media company aQuantive to Microsoft for $6.4 billion, tells Henry Blodget in the above video that he supports changes to the tax code.

"People in the top 1 percent are paying historically low tax rates," he says. "That's simply an unsustainable way to run a capitalistic society."

-snip-

"We are systematically destroying our customer base in this country by undercutting the middle class," he says. "If it was true that the rich and business were job creators, we'd be drowning in jobs today."

He also notes in the video "why would I care if my tax rate rises 10% if it means alot more customers would buy my products?"
