We lost our dear little Daisy to cancer this week. Please consider organic lawn & garden care...

Daisy lived in a beautiful condo community where the rolling lawns where sprayed and the trees powdered. She is one of several dogs in the complex that died of cancer in her mouth. Her Vet tells us that this never happens in rural communities.
My Day Care and the surrounding yards are organically kept but the world around us is filled with dangerous chemicals.

Here is an article about the risks: http://www.nytimes.com/2014/05/11/opinion/sunday/the-toxic-brew-in-our-yards.html?ref=opinion

And a tribute to Daisy in our weedy but chemical free backyard: &list=UU4JJL-u4RGiQYGcJXV4zIcw

Care to DU a Christie poll??? This poll doesn't need much help but it's fun anyway!

on edit....and don't forget to read the excellent article that goes with it!

The deadline to enroll for health insurance on the Exchange has been extended.

You still must sign up on the www.healthcare.com site by the 31st but you have until April 15th to choose your insurance and sign up.

The truth about Obama Care's high deductibles!!!

For the past few weeks I have been reading reports about the high deductibles on health insurance policies from the Exchange. On Foxnews they have been featuring people claiming that they aren't even covered for a doctor's visit until they meet their $6,000 deductible.

This is a great big lie.

Since January I have had 2 general practitioner visits, four visits to specialists, a sonogram, a full set of blood tests, a podiatrist visit, a mammography, and a needle biopsy. On top of that my prescription medication for January thru March retail at over $1,000.
The cost to me has been a total for doctor's visits of $100 ($10 for generals, $20 for specialists) and the costs of my medications for 3 month was $120. That's a total of $220 and more than half of that gets applied to my Deductible.

I was expecting the worst so when BCBSNJ started sending those notices about how much they paid and how much I owed, I was shocked to see I didn't owe anything. Because I always think the worst I called to ask why and they explained that the amount that I paid for my meds were applied to the deductible and so was the 20% that I paid for things like an ambulance.

So...don't be frightened of your new insurance. It is a lot better than you may think.

Does anyone know how to stop DU from automatically charging my credit card account???

This is on edit:
I just received an email from Skinner and everything is taken care of. Thanks for all advise and attention.

I still intend to pay for my membership but NOT on auto-pay I have tried the various forums and I have emailed Skinner and every other address I could find. Apparently I am not the only one who can't get a response. I NEVER knowingly agree to auto pay ANYTHING and I'm pretty upset about not getting an answer about this.
All I can do is keep posting for help until I get an answer. There should never be a problem with this kind of thing on any site for any reason.

Handbook for Homophobes!

How do I stop having my membership $$$ charged to my credit card automatically...

It won't be due until June but I would like to take care of it now.

Most Democrats want Hillary Clinton to run in 2016

More than 8 in ten Democrats want Hillary to run. It doesn't seem as if the dire predictions of HC driving Democrats from the polls are based in reality. Especially since 52% of Independents agree.
