Bernie’s Running for Re-Election on Independent Ticket

Bernie’s Running for Re-Election on Independent Ticket

The Democratic 2016 Presidential campaign is in full swing with Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders battling it out state-by-state. Yet while all this hoopla is going on, a small fact remains quietly perched on the political back burner: Sanders is also running for re-election as an Independent. His Senate seat will be decided anew with the 2018 midterm cycle, and if Vermonters vote favorably, he’ll take office at the age of 77 for his third term.

Sanders is already collecting money for his next Senate run. A look at these contributors reveals a stark contrast from the grassroots coalition he appeals to in his Presidential campaign. Far from being a collection of Milleniels who are newly entering the job market or struggling blue collar workers, these donors are primarily retired or entrenched in professional positions.

I have concerns about Bernie Sanders running as a "Democrat of convenience" .....Anyone else think this is deceptive?

I know what to call the Benghazi Committee interrogation now....

I believe this is a form of Political Waterboarding.....conducted by republican CIA wannabees.

That is all

My Brett, who is at New England Culinary Institute, attended " Best of France " at Time Square NYC.

He's still in New York for the week...the event was over the weekend. He got to meet Daniel Boulud.... Went and did a stag at Per Se.....Yes, met with Thomas Keller.... He will also do an internship under Thomas Keller at Per Se and French Laundry.... I'm in heaven now. I got pictures... Don't know how to share them or get them out of my Gallery yet.

Question.... Regarding Black Lives Matters...

I understand there is a 10 point Manifesto....Is there an author to these points? If not....how were they adopted? A friend was asking and I'm clueless. DU is always spot on top of such issues.

It's here!!!! My dear friend, Francois de Melogue has finished his cookbook!!!!

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/aoppdx/cuisine-of-the-sun-cookbook

" Cuisine of the Sun"

features simplistic, delicious cooking techniques and Provencal recipes.

Please visit the kick starter page and see his video clip. He did everything himself....now in the final phase. Pledge your support and get a first edition, signed copy.

Oh, I must add....he is a HUGE Bernie Sanders Supporter. Francois trained at the New England Culinary Institute in Vermont where now my Brett attends. Francois has been pivotal in guiding Brett as he has also done for Beau MacMillian who is featured in the video clip.

Game of Thrones: Episode 9 Dance of Dragons....***Speculation Spoilers below.

Well, Stannis has just failed the test of what kings are made of.....apparently he has to cheat to win. In light of his most recent choice of battle strategies, it makes me sense that he will die very soon at the hand of Brienne of Tarth from the pointy end of Oathkeeper. I think the show has built-up to this possibility. Brienne talking/sharing with Pod the Squire about her bond with Renley in earlier episode and her first oath was promised.....I just hope that Ramsey and the Boltons are snuffed out before that happens.

I was thrilled with Dany riding Drogon as this is who she is..." Mother of Dragons" ; glad to see her back on task....Tyrion is just awesome.....Jorah has been redeemed but what the hell is going to happen with the greyscales? That said, it was discussed in previous episodes that Stannis did seek out all the Maesters in the land to cure his daughter...which was a success. So, maybe Tyrion will recall the incident.

Jon at the Wall....I think he is going to have his "awakening" moment. I am a fan of the Prince who was Promised.

Okay...what say you?

I'm throwing this OP post out here to get feedback...

I know we have to wait for the autopsy report etc,,,, I always want to understand what happened. I'm just speculating....like anyone else.

I think the Baltimore cops were cowboying around resulting in the fatal injury to Freddie.

I listened to Rachel Maddow....

Sounds to me it was a combination of events.. I sense initial injury of a cracked spine/ vertebrae occurred at the chase take-down. Then he got a "rough ride" in the van, unrestrained and handcuffed which extended and displaced the spinal cracks into fracture shards cutting the spine. Fractured larynx from an impact hit to the throat during a toss in the van...probably hitting the bench while handcuffed and striking his neck area during a toss when brakes applied to van. Hitting the bench at the larynx area also could of extended the spinal cracks in vertebrae...making complete fractures and severing spinal cord.

That's my sense of breakdown scenario. Rachel gave no injury speculation but did give details of the transport phase. It's just my look at the options...

I think the rough ride was done because they were pisst after having to chase him for several blocks.....No intentional harm but always dangerous for obvious reasons. The ride to the jail was only 30 minutes...they admitted to making I believe, 3 stops. Maybe the term cowboying around does not fit...I don't see malicious/ malice either....
