My Soon-to-be-Ending Life in China (going back to Korea or Thailand in February)

Chinese maturity in a few easy lessons:

1: How do you, as a young man, deal with being dumped?
American: Find another girl as soon as possible.
Chinese: Go to the girl's workplace, spread rumors, get asked to leave, create a scene then start a fistfight with the people asking you to leave, then save face and blame everyone else for getting in the way of your fists (I shit you not!)

2: How do you go up and get off an escalator?
American: Step forward, wait, step forward.
Chinese: Stand at the foot and stare at it like you never saw one before, slowly put one foot down on it, then take it off after it starts moving. Build up the nerve to stand on it, then get to the top and decide where do go by blocking all traffic behind you?

3: How do you watch someone eat chicken?
American: We don't. Who gives a rat's ass?
Chinese: Watch the foreigner each chicken in utter amazement that the foreigner can do it, then laugh as he swallows.

4: How do you help a customer find something they need in a store?
American: Ask what the person wants, then direct them to the aisle and location.
Chinese: Instantly say "we don't have." Then when confronted (like looking for mouse pads in a computer store) with your laziness, point in a general direction with four fingers and say "it's over there." Then walk away.

5: How do you drive down a one way street?
American: Following the right of way, slowly, stopping for all those that have right of way (bicycles, pedestrians), drive in the correct direction.
Chinese: Ignoring all traffic laws because the traffic police are sound asleep or drunk in their little kiosks, drive as fast as you can down the wrong side of the street because u-turns are a loss of face, beeping your horn at anything that dares get in your way.

Jim Roddey, Local GOP County Chair, Compares Obama Supporter To Someone 'Mentally Retarded'

Source: Huff Post (via AOL News)

A long-time Pennsylvania GOP official reportedly earned a warm reception Tuesday for comparing a supporter of President Obama to someone who is "mentally retarded."

At an election night party for state Rep. Randy Vulakovich (R-Shaler), Allegheny County GOP chair and former county executive Jim Roddey fired up a couple hundred local Republicans by noting that Vulakovich had defeated his Democratic opponent by a nearly 50-point margin.

Roddey then segued to a less positive note.

"There was a disappointment tonight. I was very embarrassed," Roddey told the crowd, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. "I was in this parking lot and there was a man looking for a space to park, and I found a space for him. And I felt badly -- he looked like he was sort of in distress. And I said, 'Sir, here's a place.' And he said, 'That's a handicapped space.' I said, 'Oh, I'm so sorry, I saw that Obama sticker and I thought you were mentally retarded.'"

Idaho Billboard Compares Obama To Aurora Shooting Suspect James Holmes

Source: Huff Post (via AOL News)

An electronic billboard in Caldwell, Idaho that compares President Obama to James Holmes, the 24-year-old man accused of killing 12 people in an Aurora, Colo., movie theater on July 20, has sparked outrage in the community, reports The Idaho Statesman.

The giant sign on Franklin Road and North 21st Avenue features a photo of Holmes with the words, "Kills 12 in a movie theater with assault rifle, everyone freaks out," written under his picture, juxtaposed to a photo of Obama with the words, "Kills thousands with foreign policy, wins Nobel Peace Prize," written below.

The billboard often features anti-Obama messages, and is sponsored by The Ralph Smeed Foundation, the supporters of the late activist for libertarian causes in Idaho. Foundation member and former state lawmaker Maurice Clements, told The Idaho Statesman the billboard is a response to Obama's 'broken promise' to bring home the troops.

"We’re all outraged over that killing in Aurora, Colo., but we’re not outraged over the boys killed in Afghanistan,” Clements explained to the paper, and added that he's not trying to connect Obama to Holmes, he's just comparing the way society reacts. "We’re not saying that Obama is a lunatic,” he said.

Stay classy, baggers. Though the message was about not bringing the troops home (which is BS for the most part), the libertarian group that did it proves once again that nothing is below their belts in attempting to bring down Obama.

Romney is just an Brit who married a Welsh girl. Does that mean he'll listen to the queen instead

of us?

Remember the sliming of Kennedy's religion (and Al Smith) because he will take his orders from the pope?

This is the same shit, folks. Let's use it on them. As Rmoney starts a new political faction in the GOP: the "Let's give ourselves back to England" party.

Best case scenario is Obama - 368. Romney - 170

Gun nuts are crazy. I own guns and am a sportsman. But LaPierre's minions are just nuts. And keep in mind, I like this guy very much. Wonderful guy, if you don't talk politics.

Rmoney's nomination may put the GOP into third party status

Just hear me out.

Looking at all the grumbling the GOP has against Rmoney (justified for perceived), there is a divide three ways in the Republican Party.

First, they exorcised the old Rockefeller Republicans as well as the "Reagan Democrats" as being "liberal." As a result, they began to court the Religious Right and ones who live where the buses don't run. This pushes them further to the right.

Now, we look at them in 2012. We see the Republican Party fracturing into three specific movements:

1: The Republican Establishment: Crooked businessmen, billionaires with no scruples and those who feel they have something to lose if someone else becomes successful. These are people who love money, but hate others making it.

2: The Libertarian West: The ones west of the Mississippi River who believe freedom means less taxes, less regulation, more draconian punishments for criminals and more guns, guns, guns. These are the people who love America, but normally hate Americans.

3: The Bible Belt South: The ones south of the Mason-Dixon line that believe freedom means restriction anything they don't approve (abortion), dislike (media they do object to), object to (foreigners) or find icky (gay marriage). These are the ones who love Jesus, but hate his ideas and words.

Only one of these three are supporting Rmoney completely. This would be the Establishment. The Libertarians look at Rmoney as an East Coast regulator and big spender. They grudgingly accept Mittens simple because there is an "R" after his name. Most would rather have a gadfly like Ron Paul as the nominee.

The other group, the Bible Belt South, will only vote against Obama. They don't care if Pol Pot ran for President. Jesus doesn't approve of BLACK people in the WHITE House. That's the reason it's called the White House, or some such stupid crap like that.

However, while the Republicans in these three groups slow eat each other and the sniping continues, the newest abomination the GOP can think of as emerged: The Teabagger:

4: The Teabagger: The right wing's answer to the left wing's anarchist. These are people who have one simple philosophy: "I'm angry and I want people to listen to me, even if my anger is completely unjustified and misdirected." These are people who love nothing, and hate everyone, especially themselves (with the except of the ESTABLISHMENT that supports them. Koch/Rove/Armey, etc). The problem is the rank-and-file teabagger doesn't trust their financial supporters and doesn't tow the line. The only thing the tea party is interested in is complete governmental gridlock and chaos.

With all this infighting, Rmoney will need to attempt to be all things to all Republicans, and he is FAILING miserably. As a result, the roaches and rats are eating each other. Political cannibalism is usually something Democrats have done in the past, but Democrats seem completely unified behind, Obama, finally accepting the idea that getting 50% of the things you want is better than 0%.

The Republicans have become a party of coalition, where each part of the coalition believes their attitudes and wants trump the rest of the people in the Party. To watch this self-destruction is wonderful. The Republicans chose the most "milquetoast" candidate in their flock of clown-car rejects simply due the idea of "electability." Rmoney is the "most electable."

Welcome to the 2004 Presidential election, where a good candidate like Howard Dean lost to the electable candidate John Kerry. While many supported Kerry, he was not the first choice of most people. Dean, Edwards and Dennis had the most following. Rmoney was not the first choice of any Republican. He was the "logical" choice.

Welcome to 2004, folks. Only this time, the roles are reversed. As a result, the self-destruction of the Republican Party and the fracturing in to two or three parties against a solidly Democratic Party that is getting younger and hungrier may be exactly what the country needs to heal from the stupid shit that has crippled it pretty much since 1980, when some B-list actor was elected President.

George Zimmerman Case's Newly Released Evidence Suggests No Racial Bias

Source: Huff Post (via AOL News)

In nearly 300 pages of documents and other evidence newly released by the Florida State Attorney's Office in its second-degree murder case against George Zimmerman, Zimmerman appears at once absolved of racial animus in the killing of Trayvon Martin, but also as a man whose life has been complicated by a "hero complex" and haunted by abusive personal relationships.

The evidence includes dozens of interviews with witnesses, friends and neighbors, former colleagues and Martin's family, all of which were conducted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the FBI. Other evidence includes email correspondence between Zimmerman and members of the Sanford Police Department and an interview with Christopher Serino, the lead investigator on the case.

During Serino's interview with FBI investigators, he recounted the report he made shortly after Martin's February 26 killing in which he said the deadly encounter between Zimmerman and Martin was "ultimately avoidable" by Zimmerman.

Zimmerman's statements to 911 and to police investigators "make it clear that he had already reached a faulty conclusion as to Martin's purpose for being in the neighborhood," according to Serino's statements to the FBI. Those statements included observations that Martin appeared suspicious and possibly on drugs,

I guess there is nothing more to see here. He's innocent, apparently. Who cares that he shot an unarmed, 17 year old kid in cold blood?

He isn't a racist, he was "standing his ground" and all his friends, family and colleagues say he's a good, God-fearing, church-going man!

The Villification of John Roberts is a sight to behold

I do not pity this jerk at all. He has three strikes against him in my eyes:

1: He is a staunch conservative corportist, unqualified to be a SC Justice, let alone Chief Justice.
2: He worked in the Drunky McDouchebag Administration before getting his cushy SCOTUS position
3: He voted for Citizens United.

But his swtich on ACA proves simple to all conservatives: TOW THE LINE!!!

DO NOT THINK FOR YOURSELF!!! Just do what is expected of you, not what is right for the country.

Expect him to lose alot of conservative support. There are already calls for his impeachment.
