Ryder cup- Watson a terrible choice

Even though the Euros are better Watson was the worst choice ever. I find him close to being the mind of a "retired person". He is 65 and he hasn't been in an active state in years. i'm 63 and my mind is sharp and the reason why I am active in business every day. I talk to some of the top lawyers and AGC's in the country. I am talking to super smart people every day and I can't make mistakes. i have to be sharp.i had a top attorney say to the person I sent in for a meeting "He can really spin a yarn"This is a top compliment from a person who spins yarns for a living.

Watson drank alot but the biggest problem is he went on to the senior tour where it is retirement city. I have a good friend who retired last year and this guy is already dropping off.

Watson has had his mind pushed in years.

His decisions on the captains picks and the way he has used his players have been pitiful(Webb Simpson). playing Phil 2 rounds the first day. Phil is 44 he doesn't have the stamina any more plus he had a mediocre year.

He burned out Fowler and Jimmy Williams the second day.

pathetic. He even comes across as feeble minded. Plus he's friends with rush Limbaugh.

Report: Rice video was sent to NFL

Source: ESPN

TLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- A law enforcement official says he sent a video of Ray Rice punching his then-fiancée to an NFL executive five months ago, while league executives have insisted they didn't see the violent images until this week.

The official played The Associated Press a 12-second voicemail from an NFL office number on April 9 confirming the video arrived. A female voice expresses thanks and says: "You're right. It's terrible."

The law enforcement official, speaking to the AP on condition of anonymity because of the ongoing investigation, says he had no further communication with any NFL employee and can't confirm anyone watched the video. He said he was unauthorized to release the video but shared it unsolicited because he wanted the NFL to have it before deciding on Rice's punishment.

We are not aware of anyone in our office who possessed or saw the video before it was made public on Monday. We will look into it.

- NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy
The NFL has repeatedly said it asked for but could not obtain the video of Rice hitting Janay Palmer -- who is now his wife -- at an Atlantic City casino in February.

The league says it has no record of the video and that no one in the league office had seen it until it was released by TMZ on Monday. Asked about the voicemail Wednesday, NFL officials repeated their assertion that no league official had seen the video before Monday.

"We have no knowledge of this," N

Bye Bye Roger.

TMZ, NFL, DA, Ray Rice and Janay

I know this is flame bait but I have given this incident some thought. Ray Rice did wrong and there is no excuse for hitting a women or anyone else. That being said let's take a look at TMZ and the NFL.

Who made TMZ the arbiter of morality. If they really wanted to do the right thing they would have gone to the NFL and shown them the video and given the NFL time to take the appropriate action. If they didn't then they could have released it to the general public.

The NFL should have suspended Rice for 8 games upfront. They knew he punched her. They were protecting themselves.

As far as I know Ray Rice went through the appropriate channels. He took a plea(which one of us would not have taken a plea). He was going to counseling. He took his suspension. How many of us would have asked for more time?

What TMZ has done is beyond character assassination. They have made him a pariah and Rice is now unemployable in the USA. How is that right? How does that help the family?

Janay was right it was all about TMZ and the media but no one has thought about the family.

The NFL dropped the ball.

It was right for a long suspension it is not right to make someone unemployable.

Let's put the blame on who is responsible for all this racism-Ronald Reagan

The scumbag who started it all. Can we say Philadelphia, MS and welfare queens.

I'm over 60 and I have never seen such racism

since the sixties. it is just mind blowing how Obama just blew the roof of of the house with his election. It is absolutely crazy and beyond all belief.

3 shots on goal in 90 minutes

If anyone ever wanted to know the reason why soccer doesn't catch on in America this is it. We just don't like to watch masturbating.

Republican humor at it's finest

Earlier it was mentioned that Eugene Scalia and Phil Alito were both at Gibson Dunn. I don't think Alito is there anymore however read these musings. Is there any wonder why there are no conservative funny people. this is pathetic.

Phil Alito is a rising 3L at Duke Law School (i.e., a member of the class of 2012). He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia — after transferring from Colgate, where he wrote funny stuff for The Forum, “a non-partisan publication that seeks to encourage and facilitate the discussion of contemporary legal, political and social issues.” Check out his editor’s bio:

First, God made the heavens and earth. Then came Arby’s, followed shortly by Carl Jr. and other inferior brands of fast food. Fast foward. Homer’s epics, Texas was created, Davy Crockett, king of the wild frontier, died at the Alamo, King Kong attacked Manhattan, and then, in a completely reactionary move, I was conceived.
I was born 9 months and 2 weeks later by a midwife/wolf named Janie Jean, who would prove very influential during my formative years. Shortly after, I became interested in politics and got involved with Gary Condit (not like that). I served as a parking aide to Nancy Pelosi (I won’t even start on her) but was fired when Barbara Boxer came onto me. Eventually, I decided that my teeth needed to be cleaned, so I came to Colgate with a band of gypsies (who I have declared war on and will one day destroy). I decided to join “The Forum” to make friends but obviously that hasn’t worked out. So, soon I will probably find a cow at a nearby farm and ride my way to glory in either LA or at the Calgary Rodeos.

Alas, Phil Alito’s humorous musings have been scrubbed from the publication’s website.

The wimpiest sport of all time

I was listening to Colin Cowherd this morning and he was interviewing Doug McIntyre of ESPN(soccer). If I hear one more time how well conditioned and how tough the game is I am going to puke.
Mcintyre was moaning how tough the game was and in the next match with Portugal that both teams are going to be tired. They have 5 DAYS OFF.

I could possibly understand some fatigue on a match on the third day but i even think you should be fully recovered by the 3rd. day These people are in their twenties.

I always hear how much they run. Bullshit. Watch a game closely. They stand around all the time. When the ball is on one side of the field everyone on the other side of the field are standing around. Midfieleders do run but by large it is short(20 second bursts of speed).

The NBA in the playoffs had a game every other day for 6 weeks. There is hardly any rest. Football plays games all the time 3 days after a Sunday game and talk about taking a pounding. Football is brutal with gigantic sized people causing mayhem.

I am a great believer in conditioning. when I was young i typically played 2 hours of basketball followed by a 5 mile run in 37 minutes with the last 3 being 6 minute miles I followed that with 250 sit ups and 150 push ups.

Even now at 62 I ride 16 miles a day on my bike and I am about to start doing the pushup/situp regimen again.
