USPS- Incredible service match that fedex and UPS

I bought an item off of ebay and had it accidentally shipped to the wrong address. I freaked out and called USPS. They guided me to "intercept a package". This was a priority mail item and had tracking. I followed the package to Denver where i actually called the post office. The women at the post office answered the phone BEFORE business hours. She asked me where the package was going and my name.

She then went down to th driver and the package had not come upstairs yet. When it did the route person walked it upstairs and gave it to the supervisor whom then CALLED me took my address and the rerouted the package to me. Instead of getting it in 2 days i will get it in 4 days.

I probably could have let the system reroute it to me but i called and look what they did.

UPS and Fedex ground who have taken 5 days to get the package to me originally. God knows how long it woulld have taken it to finally get it to me and how much they would have charged.

You are right republicans Government can never do anything right. sarcasm

BRAVO USPS.

The electoral college- the greatest vote suppressor ever

What does a system say when the most important vote you can cast is deemed worthless. This is the beginning of disenfranchising the voter and it continues to the point until people give up. The two people most responsible for killing voting are Nixon and Reagan. one made all politicians crooks and the second made government the enemy.

Reagan, states rights and the withering of the U.S.

I think when history is finally understood we will see that Reagan and the republicans are central to the breakdown of the nation as a united country. Since Reagan really started the states right movement we have seen the breakdown of the U.S. as a single entity. A strong federal government is needed to have us be one and all pulling in the same direction. Now we have a divided country with 50 fiefdoms. There is nothing uniting us. We experimented with a weak central government before and it was called the Articles of Confederation.

Finally, can anyone explain why the administration of voting is not a federal function. It is a right and not a privilege and it's my belief that anything that is guaranteed in the constitution should be administered by the federal government. We have a history of abuse by the states.

The trouble with referendums

like the minimum wage is that it allows people to not have to vote on the people who would represent them in the legislature to enact these types of changes. In other words they can still vote republican and not make a party responsible. It is a bad idea.

The real reason for democratic failure-Its tribal

If you notice every initiative that is on the ballot that is "democratic passes overwhelmingly".

But the reality is most white people do not want to identify with the party of n****ers,Jews,Mexicans, gays and Asians(except those hot asian women). I know the Asian part because white men will date asian women but white women won't date Asian men( the percentages are astounding).

So it comes down to tribal.

The State of America

We have is a structural problem and I blame it on a couple of people. My mother said years ago that when we stop building stuff we would be in trouble. She couldn't have been more right.

First Ronald Reagan came and dismantled the faith in the government and pitted people against people and people against government. He weakened the concept of a strong federal government. this idea has festered for 35 years and is very damaging to the country. We experimented with a weak central government and that was the articles of confederation and we all know how that turned out.

Then he emboldened the south who always votes in a bloc and now runs the republican party. The idea of an economy in the south is stealing business from the north. Rick perry does that every day. how does stealing business from the north help the country. the south should never be in the mix to decide how we run our economy. they have been and will always care first about the south and then the country. they are and will always be the least patriotic people in America.

"American by birth southern by the grace of God" Do you see that kind of saying anywhere else in the country.

Secondly, Bill Clinton initiated Nafta and the end of Glass Steagall. nice work How did that turn out?

We don't build anything aka low paying jobs. Germany out produces us in finished products with 80 million people and they are not paying minimum wage and driving wages down.

Finally, Business school teaches the same crap that I took in 1970. I looked at UGA business school and itís the same courses I took and that was based on a manufacturing society. Not a single course on sales and as far as I know no sales no business.

Also shareholder value is all they care about. not running a business to be a great business. One of my friends was at Sun and this "MBA' manager was limiting them to $10. for sushi while they were making money hand over fist and all she could say to everyone was 'share holder value".

Shortsighted. Don't build a business to only care about shareholder value. Thank you modern business school.
