ASSHAT Allen West issues scathing attack on Obama for Iran deal

Sixth Great Mass Extinction Event Begins; 2015 on Pace to Become Hottest Year on Record

NASA recently released its global temperature data for the month of May, and it was 1.3 degrees Fahrenheit above the norm. The agency's data also revealed that 2015 has had the hottest five months of any year ever recorded. As of right now, 2015 is already hotter than last year, according to NASA; in fact, if it stays on the same track, it will be the hottest year ever recorded for the planet.

Things are bad enough that President Obama's science adviser issued a warning that anthropogenic climate disruption (ACD) is currently barreling forward so quickly that the entire state of California could be "overwhelmed": The state's efforts to adapt will be unable to keep pace with the rapidly intensifying developments on the ground. Essentially, this means the state does not have the financial nor physical resources to keep pace with rising seas, drought and wildfires that are all becoming the norm there.

Scientists like Bill Nye ("the Science Guy") are warning us to expect even more weather extremes as ACD progresses. For example, they predict the recent deluge of rain and flooding in Texas will become the norm for that state going forward.

A study recently published in Nature Climate Change has shown that if carbon dioxide and methane emissions are not dramatically cut extremely rapidly, ACD is set to bring about the most dramatic and encompassing rearrangement of ocean species in at least the last 3 million years. For example, the study shows that by 2100, the polar regions, which currently host some of the most diverse and widespread sea life on the planet, will likely be drained of much of their marine life.

Small child of white parents raised with wild animals

Bewildering, shocking, amazing, startling, and sometimes damned worrisome.

But mostly amazing.

Proof that some politicians were likely born with their heads up their asses

Has anyone ever seen anything this perfect and wholesomely sexy?

I'm flabbergasted and wildly turned on by this.

Good News Update on the abandoned cat -- Tiger Tim

According to Magnificent Cat Rescue:

Tiger Tim had a very special visitor on Friday: Nancy, his first foster.

Without Nancy, Tiger Tim would be dead by now, because we cannot rescue cats if we do not have foster homes to take them in.

We could not have pulled him from the ACC without Nancy.

We are always desperate for local fosters, but so are rescues all over the country.

Nancy has a message for all of you:

"To all the people offering Tiger Tim a home: Since there is only one Tiger Tim and he is still trying to get better, will you please consider fostering or adopting another cat in need? There are so many!!!

"Just think, had Tiger Tim not had a place to go to, his story would have never been told. He would have more than likely been put to sleep on a cold metal table.

"Since June is Adopt a Cat month, what better way to celebrate than to help a homeless kitty? Please consider it and if/when you do hashtag ‪#‎TeamTigerTim‬.

This Comic Will Forever Change the Way You Look at Privilege

Toby Morris created a brilliant cartoon that is a gut wrencher story about the concept of "privilege".

He places two individuals side by side, showing how financial security and benefits, or the lack of it, affects them even if they come from households that love and support them, leading to two completely different outcomes.

What gives with how you ranked the "TRENDING NOW" status of the posts today?

Willy T. has currenly has 8 fewer recs than me and the my thread maintained a decent lead in recs for quite awhile, and yet Willy T's thread is being put at the top of the Trending Now list and mine has disappeared into "General Discussion".

OBAMA'S STAFF: -We helped elect Barack Obama — now we’re calling on Elizabeth Warren to run in 2016

We believed in an unlikely candidate who no one thought had a chance.

We worked for him — and against all odds, we won in Iowa.

We organized like no campaign had organized before — and won the Democratic primary.

We built a movement — and the country elected the first-ever African American president.

We know that the improbable is far from impossible.

Now, former staffers from President Obama’s campaigns, along with former staffers from OFA, are joining with the thousands of Americans who are calling on Elizabeth Warren to run for president in 2016.

Rising income inequality is the challenge of our times, and we want someone who will stand up for working families and take on the Wall Street banks and special interests that took down our economy.
We urge Elizabeth Warren to run for president in 2016.

See link for all the staffers' signatures

and thousands of others have been targeted, jobs taken away, reputations ruined,

also harassment, also targeted and poisoned....

Poisoning is an old CIA tactic.

I have been targeted repeatedly for my activism against the use of thousands of toxic chemicals that have not even basic testing done. Only a handful have had adequate testing.

But the big event was in 1991 after I saw a tape of a speech given by Ross Perot at the National Press Club... got incredibly excited and motivated. I called the Perot Group in Dallas and told them I thought he would make a very good president and that I was getting into the car to drive all over Florida to show the tape to various groups asking them whether they would support such a guy for president. When I got to Tampa I met Jack Gargan and he helped get the ball really rolling.

I ordered a hundred copies of the tape and mailed them to key people.

After the movement really started my husband and I were initially at the center of activity even though it was in the isolated island of Key West. We were inundated with people who were covert ops types who kept knocking at our door and offering "to help". They a woman claiming to be a retired CIA operative said she was setting up an office in Miami for me with multiple phones, etc. I declined. Our phones were tapped. We were followed everywhere. Someone climbed our high fence late at night and put weird looking sharp metal shards in our underwear that was hanging there! How strange is that. Then we started getting sick. And then very, very sick. After a few months of this my spouse found me uncoscious on the floor. I had to be rushed to the hospital for what turned out to be organophosphate poisoning. I was the color of cement when I arrived and the emergency room. The ER staff said if he hadn't gotten there when he did that I only had a few minutes to live. They brought me back with atropine but I was deathly ill for five months, and even today have serious neurological issues.

I can never prove that I was purposefully poisoned, as was my husband, but one thing is for sure -- we never used pesticides in our house, so it had to come from another source.
