In my opinion, Obama is using the language, and techniques that are commonly used by crooked politicians and con-artist.

Simply put, he is using paralogism and double-speak to lower the moral bar, and lead his hard core authoritarian base into error; the effect is to dilute the law, and create a facade in witch predators don't look like predators to their victims.

And to make things worse, the hard-core followers will attack any and all who dare speak of the political con and con-artist in a negative light. It's sort of like how you and the other self ordained conservative gate keepers in this thread are attacking / gaslighting MadHound.
