We need a new Democratic Party, that much is clear

The current one sucks so terribly that we got our asses flambéed and handed back to us by a confederation obviously composed of lunatics, idiots, and rogues.

Lincoln fired his losing generals until he got some that got the job done. When will we rank-and-file Democrats do the same?

This is war.

This could actually be good. Stop laughing and hear me out...

Remember back in 2006 when Democrats were somehow able to overcome Howard Dean's leadership of the DNC to take over both houses of Congress?

When that happened, Democrats could have stomped Republicans like bugs, but instead they adopted a new spirit of amity and comity, never lording their position over the opposition. Do we have any reason to believe that Republicans will be any less gracious come January? That a new spirit of cooperation and putting Americans ahead of partisanship won't take root in Congress?

Anyone? No?

OK, well then maybe we can focus on president Obama's able and willing veto pen? He can stop the GOP cold if they try to do bad things. Right?

#%^*

Well, gotta go, need to change my underwear and get very, very, very drunk.

Goddamned Liberals.

Just think of how much worse tonight would have been if

Howard Dean had been running the DNC. We might have won many more races, but there'd doubtless have been partisanship, competent campaigning, and unhelpful vocalizations played over and over by the news media.

Ewww.

I believe we all owe a debt of gratitude to one Debbie Wasserman Schultz (and her photogenic doggies) for keeping this from being a bad night. This campaign season was clean, fair, and I dare say it's begun to move the domestic animal Overton Window from cats back to dogs.

Huzzah!

Scott Brown's next state?

NY's been known to vote carpetbaggers into the Senate, but an admitted Republican might have a tough time there.

Thoughts?

Did any other "Liberals" vote today?

After much reflection I changed my mind and voted for Democrats for the first time in... jeez... three months or so.

Any other "Liberals" have a change of heart and vote?

Here Teddy, let me fix that for you:

"To announce that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is not only unpatriotic and servile, but is morally treasonable to the American public just stopping the ratfuckers."

Agitprop.

Got me.

OK, OK. The DNC has made its point.

Hey, Manny --

Let's keep this short and simple. General Clapper tells us that you like cute doggies.

Fair enough, Manny.

So here's the deal: Manny, if you donate $200 today, this cute doggie lives until at least Tuesday, and you'll be on the list of our best supporters we send to the FEC.

Come Tuesday night, should things not go well for us Democrats... well, let's just hope things go well, capisce Manny?

Thanks for this, Manny

Let's get one thing straight about Greenwald

Look people, nobody hates Libertarian traitor Glenn Greenwald more than I do.

Nobody!

But as terrible as Greenwald is, at least in 2002, when any reasonable person knew in their gut that war with Iraq was necessary, a trivial-yet-profitable undertaking, Greenwald stood with reasonable Americans: he was for the thing. He's changed his mind since (which in his case is a sign of weakness while the same action is a sign of strength in better people), but for a brief moment in time, Greenwald stood shoulder-to-shoulder with the best and brightest stars of our Democratic Party.

Now let us turn to another terribly terrible traitor, Ralph Nader. A man who, need I remind you, has money in his bank account. Unlike Greenwald, Nader has NEVER been reasonable, not even once.

Never!

In fact, a movie about him is called An Unreasonable Man! A man so cut off from reason that he was always against the Iraq War, even when it was a good idea.

And so we must conclude that while Greenwald is a most worthy contender, it is Nader that has earned the title of absolute most terrible person on Earth.

QED, baby.

Oh yeah? How Do *SnowWald* Worshipers Sleep at Night?!

Look people, I can't believe the ignorant crap I have to read on a supposedly "Democratic" site.

How do we sleep at night?

How do WE sleep at night?

How do YOU sleep, SnowWaldistas!!!

Sure, Operation Spy-On-Everyone violates the plain meaning of the Fourth Amendment of our Constitution, but the Constitution is not a suicide pact! Operation Spy-On-Everyone saved lives!

As Starship Cmdr. Keith Alexander, the former head of the NSA testified to Congress, the vital secret programs that SnowWald leaked to al Qaeda had stopped more than 50 terror plots cold!

More than 50!

Of course, that number was later found to actually be 0, not "more than 50", but that's NOT THE POINT. I realize that most of you in DU-land are members of the Lumpenproletariat and are thus as slow-witted as a sloth that's gotten into the ether stash, so I'll spell it out:

Just by the bad guys KNOWING that we had a secret program like this, we scared them from doing evil acts of Terra!

Now that they know we have a program, the game's over. We lose our children, our way of life, our precious bodily fluids, our humorous cat pictures -- all of it. Gone in an instant, thanks to Comrade SnowWald's treason.

I hope you Fourth-Amendment-Huggers NEVER SLEEP AGAIN, tossing and turning in tortured enhanced-interrogation agony, just as Snowden's Hawaiian neighbors did when he didn't smile at them. We'll watch our videos of your nighttime suffering, we'll hear your sleepy voices on your phone calls, and we'll laugh.

Regards,

Third-Way Manny
