The People Have Spoken, and the GOP still have their hands over their ears..

I'm just going to keep it real! The reelection of President Obama doesn't mean jack to the GOP. No, they're not willing to work with the President for the betterment of the country.


Yes, they're still on a power trip and plan on stopping and blocking every piece of legislation that the Democrats propose. Hey, don't shoot the messenger, I'm going by the latest statements issued by the so-called leadership of the GOP.

"The voters have not endorsed the failures or excesses of the president's first term," said McConnell, frosty in his postelection remarks. "Now it's time for the president to propose solutions that actually have a chance of passing the Republican-controlled House and deliver in a way that he did not in his first four years in office."

The President proposed having the top two percent pay a little more, letting the Bush tax cuts expire. Experts have said that Bohner's plan is pretty much the same ole plan that Romney was running on. Cutting social programs etc.

With all due respect to some of my liberal/Democrat friends, please stop acting as if the last four years didn't happen. The GOP's number one goal was to try to make sure President Obama failed, I don't see any reason why that strategy is going to change. The only way these parties can work together, is if; the Democrats are willing to compromise on things we hold dear, like... Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

I voted for the President, because I'd like to see all of those things protected. Seriously, it takes some "real brass " to try to dictate the agenda, when the American people overwhelmingly rejected your ideas.

Mitt not only failed because he was a terrible candidate, but he failed because he had bad ideas. We've been there done that.. it didn't work then and the American people were wise enough to know it wouldn't work now.

Can the MSM stop acting as if both sides had a hand in things not getting done. Remember that little meeting that Republicans held on Obama's inauguration day, where they promised to stop and block him every step of the way? Remember the record number of filibusters used by the GOP? Remember Mitch McConnell saying: his "number one goal is to make sure president Obama is a one-term President." Remember Rush saying: he "wanted to see the President fail?"

The GOP's obstructionism is far from over; expect them to launch very partisan driven investigations and hearings into the Benghazi attacks. Also expect them to trash any potential Justice that the President nominates to the court.

As long as the GOP allows folks like Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, and Donald Trump to have prominent voices within their party, the answer is no.. Actually that's HELL NO! We can't all just get along.

Seal Team 6: "The Raid on Osama Bin Laden" film...

Was well written and well acted. I especially liked the footage of President Obama and the way they sort of had him narrating certain events. It definitely makes the President look like the wise, thoughtful leader that he is. I don't want to spoil anything, but It is one of those films that gives you a look inside the dangerous world of our military , and Intelligence agents.

I told my hubby if GWB was responsible for Bin Laden's demise, that's all the right-wing blogs would be talking about. Fox News would have the actors from the film on all of their shows and the right-wing radio would interview them too. This film should be promoted, because it really does show that this wasn't an easy call for the President to make. In case you missed it, you can watch it on Netflix tonight.

An about an hour my hubby will be on a conference call with the President..

It was supposed to take place on Tuesday, but was postponed until today. There will be a ton of people on the call, so I'm not sure if he'll get a chance to ask a question. I told him to wish him luck, thank him for all of his hard work, and tell him that we're praying for him.

Making the case for the 44th President of the United States-Barack Obama...

I know I may have left out a ton of stuff, but here are a few things that came to mind.

Here are a few differences between President Obama and Romney.

Obama believes that women should have a right to choose.


Romney believes that the government should make that choice for you. His VP pick believes that if a woman is raped she should be forced to carry the fetus to term. Romney supported the "personhood amendment", where fertilized eggs will have rights.

He also supported the forced vaginal probes of women. He endorsed Mourdouck who said: "I think even when life begins in that horrible situation of rape, that it is something that God intended to happen." Romney also supports the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade.

President Obama believes that women should get paid, equal pay for equal work.. so much so, that the first bill he signed into law was the Lilly Leedbetter Fair Pay Act.

Romney was against The Fair Pay Act and his VP pick Paul Ryan voted against it.

President Obama believes that gays and lesbians should have a right to marry and serve openly in our military.

Romney doesn't believe in same sex marriage and has said he didn't agree with the repeal of don't ask don't tell.

President Obama believes that the economy grows from the bottom up, that middle class families are the backbone therefore they deserve tax cuts.

Romney believes that if you give huge tax cuts to the rich, it will trickle down.

President Obama got us out of the war in Iraq.

Romney said: “It is my view that the withdrawal of all of our troops from Iraq by the end of this year is an enormous mistake."

I7 of Romney's 24 foreign policy advisers who got us into the Iraq war, are now advising Romney on foreign policy.

President Obama believes in climate change and believes that the federal government agencies such as FEMA, should be there to help folks out when they're in need.


Romney doesn't believe in climate change and he said that it was: "immoral" for the federal government to unnecessarily spend money on disaster relief in the face of yawning deficits."


President Obama makes me believe that things can and will get better in this country. Unlike the doom and gloom guys on the other side. President Obama is the guy that makes me feel as though he is talking about an inclusive America. Unlike the other side, who seems to be talking to, and about an exclusive America; where you have to believe in a certain God, and be in love with someone from the opposite sex.

See, the difference between President Obama and his republican opponent is this: President Obama believes that America's best days are ahead of us, and Romney believes that America's best days are behind us. Which is why He'd like to take the country back.. back to the 1950's. We look back to learn from past mistakes, but in order to progress we must look FORWARD!!!

Jesus Christ believed they're entitled to those things too, and so do I. I'm sure the President would also agree.

I had no idea that Sununu had such a questionable record when it comes to Israel.

"I like to think I'm not hypersensitive; give a pop, take a pop, such is the nature of political conflict. But John Sununu's descent into the gutter of bigotry in seeking to impugn the motives of his critics should not go unremarked.

The Wall Street Journal last Friday ran an unsourced item on its front page: "Israel supporters quietly campaign against him [ Sununu ] , spreading their complaints about his ties to Arab-American groups." I wondered who was selling that story.

Then on Monday, I opened The Washington Post to find an astounding sentence in a column by Rowland Evans and Robert Novak. Of the coalition against the White House chief of staff, they wrote, "Perhaps most important is Sununu's suspicion that attacks from sources that might be expected in his corner have come because he is a second-generation Lebanese-American who is not fully supportive of Israel's demands on the United States."

The words "Sununu's suspicion" are known in the trade as clear attribution; those words did not appear in the copy of the syndicated column that ran in Monday's New York Post and other newspapers. The Washington Post's editorial page editor properly believed that the gravity of the charge of bigoted motive rated an attribution, which the columnists supplied at her request.

Now, who do you suppose is "sources that might be expected in his corner"? Which conservative columnist -- who agrees with Mr. Sununu on quotas, global warming, etc. -- denounced him last week as a pompous ass whose unethical perks-grubbing and compulsive peripateticism demonstrate a judgment chasm that endangers the Bush Presidency?

I fit that description. My ulterior motive, according to the word Mr. Sununu passes to other journalists, is to bring down a nice Lebanese-American boy whose only transgression is to resist Israel's demands.

The final desperate bleat from this exposed royalist who cannot defend his ripoff of the taxpayers is to blame Israel's supporters, and this Jew in particular, for his troubles.

Following up the venomous suspicion attributed to Mr. Sununu in the Evans & Novak column, The Washington Post's Ann Devroy reported: "Two sources said Sununu had listed 'those who don't like my call for evenhandedness [ in U.S. policy in the Mideast ] , the Jewish groups" as among those either working against him or egging on those working against him."

Mr. Sununu's scapegoating to save his neck is giving anti-Semitism a bad name. It caused Malcolm Hoenlein, executive director of the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations, to write to Mr. Sununu protesting that his reported views were "offensive and without foundation."

Having been identified as the source of these widely planted "suspicions" of racism or Israel support motivating his critics, Mr. Sununu yesterday called Mr. Hoenlein to insist: "I never said it. These things were never heard from me. I do not believe it or feel that way."

Somebody is lying; that somebody may be, in Daniel Schorr's phrase, a deadbeat from the Presidency. Evans and Novak, who were anti-Israel long before it became popular, are honorable reporters with top-level sources; in three decades, I have never known them deliberately to mislead readers or editors by practicing unsourced mind-reading.

Both the Sununu smearing and subsequent denial fall on barren ground because everybody knows he is irrelevant to foreign policy; Lebanese-Americans, for example, were dismayed at his unwillingness to utter a peep at Syria's unopposed takeover of Lebanon.

Thus does John Sununu depart, creating a supernova of bigoted resentment to make himself a household name at his President's expense. Spiro Agnew is alive and well and working near the Oval Office.

Nobody who recognizes his danger to the President is immune. Having been stabbed in the background by the Secretary of State, Mr. Sununu now peddles columnists the fantasy that James Baker sees him as a potential rival for the 1996 nomination.

Get ready, publishers, for "How I Tried to Be Evenhanded and Was Done In by the Jews, the Elitist Media and Jim Baker," by Honest John Sununu. The author will be available for an unending 30-city tour."

Does anyone know someone who is "undecided?"

I certainly don't. This will be my first time voting as a Democrat, last election I voted as an Independent. I think NYS is pretty safe for the President. I'll also be supporting our local Democrats too. One more thing, anyone have any pointers on dealing with election stress? All of my friends are so stressed about this election.

They realize how important this is. I know we hear it every election cycle, but this really is the most important election I'll be voting in so far. I think about the make up of the Supreme Court, the repeal of the affordable care act.. and it's pretty scary stuff.

We've seen extreme measures by republicans across the county trying to make it harder for women to exercise their legal right to choose. The republicans are passing these laws without control of the White House and the Congress. Imagine how things will be if they gain control of both. Not to mention putting one or two more conservative Justices on the court.

LOL! John Kerry called Mitt's foreign policy, "Rosetta Stone" foreign policy..

When the President gets his second term I hope John gets a cabinet position. What a smart guy and he's not afraid to fight.
