http://www.thenation.com/blog/174404/week-poverty-fighting-poverty-through-wall-street-accountability

This year, I’ve been focused on how anti-poverty activists can move from a defensive battle defined by trying to save what needs to be saved during these budget debates, to an offensive one, laying out a vision that inspires ongoing, unified action and builds a vibrant movement that connects with people in their communities.

I offered one modest proposal for an “anti-poverty contract”—five issues that impact both low-income and middle class people—around which activists and groups could organize. The Western Center on Law & Poverty and a handful of other national and local groups are trying to build an effort around that idea.

However, when you consider the scale of the problems we face—and what inspires people to take action—clearly much, much more is needed. As I wrote previously, to build a new anti-poverty movement will require the kind of organizing and actions that are as creative, visible and gripping as the Occupy Wall Street movement.

Koch Funded Americans for Prosperity direct political link to Tea Party Losers

http://democurmudgeon.blogspot.com/2013/05/koch-funded-americans-for-prosperity.html

The documentary AstroTurf Wars connects the big corporate money to the tax exempt groups we know as the tea party.

"....exposes how front groups like the Kochs’ Americans for Prosperity, Energy Citizens, and Blankenship’s Friends of America have taken populist discontent during a Democratic presidency and redirected it to their radical right-wing corporate agenda of global warming pollution, regressive taxation, and health-care profiteering. In (Astro)Turf Wars, Australian filmmaker Taki Oldham journeys from Philadelphia to West Virginia, interviewing angry grassroots conservatives and the corporate public relations experts who are manipulating them. Going undercover at several Tea Party rallies, Oldham has exclusive coverage of how corporate profiteers are attempting to bring the United States government back under their thumb.

504(c)(4) is exclusively for "social welfare" organizations. After watching this, the IRS blunder might just be the thing that changes this corporate con job. We can hope anyway:

SYNOPSIS:
“The awakening of the squares” analyzes the 15M movement, a year later, from six people who lived in the Barcelona occupation of Catalonia Square.
The documentary looks at the process of this movement that shook society in the demand of more democracy and raised the expectation that citizenship could force a change of cycle in the country.
We present the reflections of the protagonists, and the view of passersbys, the media and the political class.
Although the camp was dismantled, the film tries to understand what traces the movement has left behind.

Video: Police retaliation of SF Commune raid resistance

#WereFucked ‏@worthoftheworld

If you don't know why #SFCommune has people in jail.. look at this video.. http://politicalfailblog.com/archives/7349 This shit is srs, and is not ok!

http://politicalfailblog.com/archives/7349

Seven San Francisco activists from the squatted social center called the SF Commune, were brutally attacked by police and arrested Thursday evening after being invited into the SF State University dorms by students there. One individual was tazed and another was reportedly shoved into a paddy wagon where police continued to viciously beat him. This happened less than 36 hours after the campus visitors were violently evicted from the SF Commune by riot-clad SWAT police on Wednesday morning.

The Bush war debt and its purpose.

America is in debt trillions of dollars for Bush's wars, which was the plan. Debt is their business model. You cannot have "austerity" and disaster capitalism such as Michigan's Koch brothers "tea party" governor's "emergency manager" smash-and-grab without debt. The entire country can be smashed with this war debt, and it's not being discussed AT ALL. It will, eventually, when it's time to pony it out and tell everyone why "there's no money" for programs for the citizens of this country.

(Taken from my reply in another thread. Wanted an easy-to-find "told you so". Thoughts? And credit where credit is due: "Debt is their business model" is from The Illuminator crew's work, and the revelation that "sequester" etc. are only distractions from this debt, from a facebook meme.)
