Author of Trumps Favorite Voter Fraud Study Says Everyones Wrong

https://www.wired.com/2017/01/author-trumps-favorite-voter-fraud-study-says-everyones-wrong/

It sounds like, for starters, the trumpledytes are conflating two different studies...

The problem, says Richman, who identifies as a political moderate, is that the Trump administration’s interpretation of his report is totally off. “Trump and others have been misreading our research and exaggerating our results to make claims we don’t think our research supports,” Richman says. “I’m not sure why they continue to do it, but there’s not much I can do about that aside from set the record straight.”

In an interview airing tonight on ABC News, President Trump also pointed to an actual Pew Research report about outdated voter rolls, but according to its own author, that report found no instances of voter fraud.

Now, Richman’s study and the Pew Report are set to become the foundation of the Trump administration’s newly promised investigation into potential voter fraud—whatever Richman says about their interpretation of his findings. The political exploitation of Richman’s work is a blow against intellectual honesty and scientific integrity. What’s more, voting rights advocates fear the investigation it’s being used to prop up could lead to severe voting restrictions in the future.

I'm sure Trump's threat to send Feds into Chicago for the 'carnage' has nothing to due with this...

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/politics/ct-donald-trump-chicago-street-signs-removed-met-1207-20161206-story.html

After much fanfare from Chicago aldermen over the righteousness of tearing down President-elect Donald Trump's honorary street signs, city workers quietly removed the placards over the weekend.

A city sign shop crew pulled down the remaining two street signs on Wabash Avenue near Trump Tower at 8 a.m. Sunday, according to Chicago Department of Transportation spokesman Michael Claffey. A third Trump sign was stolen months ago

The City Council voted a week before the Nov. 8 presidential election to take down the signs, citing the "caricature" of Chicago that Trump presented during the campaign through his frequent mentions of the city as a place overrun with violent crime. Aldermen also knocked Trump's pledge to deport millions of immigrants in the country illegally in voting to take away the street sign honor.
