High though his titles, proud his name,
Boundless his wealth as wish can claim;
Despite those titles, power, and pelf,
The wretch, concentred all in self,
Living, shall forfeit fair renown,
And, doubly dying, shall go down
To the vile dust from whence he sprung,
Unwept, unhonour'd, and unsung.
Sir Walter Scott, 1st Baronet FRSE FSA Scot (15 August 1771 21 September 1832) was a Scottish historical novelist, poet, playwright, and historian. Many of his works remain classics of both English-language literature and Scottish literature. Famous titles include The Lady of the Lake (narrative poem) and the novels Waverley, Old Mortality (or The Tale of Old Mortality), Rob Roy, The Heart of Mid-Lothian, The Bride of Lammermoor, and Ivanho
Was Sir Walter Scott prescient?
High though his titles, proud his name,
Boundless his wealth as wish can claim;
Despite those titles, power, and pelf,
The wretch, concentred all in self,
Living, shall forfeit fair renown,

The daily requests for money never ceased and now they are increased and constant.
The grift continues, as we all know, but we also know bad things will come to an end if we all call them out for what they are.
Still getting easily 5 requests a day for money from those named Trump
Trump came to my local NC airport. It is not large. I applied for a spot - in order to make them think there are takers - like the young ones did in Tulsa.The daily requests for money never ceased and now they are increased and constant.

Fortunately the face is quite recognizable and I think very pretty.
He was WAY bigger than a big cat.
The only shot I got
Saw this very large guy lumbering up the tree in front of my window. By the time I grabbed the camera and ran outside that is the only picture I got.Fortunately the face is quite recognizable and I think very pretty.

Had my cellphone with me.
The Gingko has fallen. I only learned a few years back that the Gingko tree loses its leaves in one fail drop, usually all of them within a day or two
