How to modify an NRA bumper sticker

I pulled in to the drive at my fathers house. Sitting in the drive was this huge pick up truck and on the back was 2 bumper stickers, Romney/Ryan and an NRA sticker similar to this one:

Get some white-out and paint it over the work DEFEAT.

The sticker now reads:
DEFEND FREEDOM
OBAMA

There is just a white bar between the two. Just don't get caught by the vehicle owner, they are NRA members after all and will shoot to kill!

At the urging of a couple of posters, I do amend my idea here. Don't commit a crime. Maybe the better thing to do, is get some stickers and modify them and then use them yourself.

Sorry If I offended anyone!!!

The Butler didi IT!

Pope's brother: Pontiff was troubled by butler's revelations

Pope Benedict XVI was troubled by "some great challenges" during his time in office -- including allegations of corruption within the church that were illegally exposed by his former butler and his relationship with a controversial Catholic brotherhood -- the pontiff’s brother said Tuesday.

Speaking to reporters in Germany, Georg Ratzinger said the pope was “doing relatively well” and his announcement Monday that he was going to stand down had not had an effect on his health.

On Monday, Benedict, 85, explained his resignation, saying that the papacy required “strength of mind and body” and his had deteriorated in recent months. On Tuesday, the Vatican acknowledged for the first time that the pope has had a pacemaker for years and that its battery was replaced a few months ago in secret, Reuters reported.

What will happen if this man becomes Pope?

Cardinal Peter Turkson: The first Ghanaian cardinal, he's president of the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace and the Vatican’s point man on Catholicism in Africa. An energetic 64 years old, Turkson is considered to be more moderate than some other contenders but hardly a radical. Asked about the spread of AIDS in Africa, he said abstinence was a better solution than condoms. A couple of years ago, he said the first black pope would have a "rough time" and he wasn't bucking for the job.

What will racist catholics do if a black man become Pope, first a black President then the Pope? What will this world come to?

The Key word here is COSMETIC

GOP embraces cosmetic makeover, tweaking tone not principles

After their electoral drubbing last November — their second straight in a presidential contest — Republicans have faced a choice. Do they change their policies or their tone?

For now, many top Republicans in Washington seem to have opted for the latter, deciding that a more articulate re-statement of the party's long-held principles will suffice in their effort to attract new voters to the GOP.

"I wouldn't say shift in policy," pollster Jim McLaughlin said of his advice for fellow Republicans. "Republicans have to make adjustments there, but they have to stick to their principles."

And the GOP wonders why they are out of touch: McCain compares Iranian leader to monkey

Always one to speak -- or Tweet -- his mind, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) Monday made a joke comparing Iranian leader Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to a monkey, something one Republican congressman charged was “racist.”

“So Ahmadinejad wants to be first Iranian in space - wasn't he just there last week?” McCain said in a tweet that also linked to a story about Iran launching a monkey into space.

Some didn’t take so kindly to the not-so-diplomatic quip, prompting McCain, 76, to respond: “Re: Iran space tweet - lighten up folks, can't everyone take a joke?”

Seeing that, Michigan congressman Rep. Justin Amash, 32, shot back.

“Maybe you should wisen up & not make racist jokes,” Amash tweeted.

Mitt's son has reportedly been approached by Republican officials about running to fill Kerry's seat

Mitt's son has reportedly been approached by Republican officials about the possibility of running in an April special election to fill John Kerry's seat.

Have a connection to the commonwealth of Massachusetts? Interested in politics? How does a run for John Kerry's vacated Senate seat sound?

These have become familiar questions in Boston political circles, where names ranging from Sen. Ted Kennedy's widow Vicki Kennedy to former Democratic Mass. Gov. Michael Dukakis were mentioned as possible fillers for the interim seat, as well as former Republican Mass. Sen. Scott Brown and actor Ben Affleck for the permanent position.

Now, with Democrat Mo Cowan appointed as interim senator and Brown removing his name from contention, there's another high profile name who may throw his hat into the ring: Tagg Romney.

The Boston Herald reports that Romney, 42, whose father Mitt recently lost his bid to supplant Barack Obama as president of the United States, is considering a run for the vacated seat in an April 30 special election.
