An Arizona congressional candidate mistook a busload of YMCA campers for immigrant children

Adam Kwasman, a Republican state representative who favors stronger border controls, had joined a group of people in the town of Oracle protesting the expected arrival of migrant children, according to a report on The Arizona Republic website, azcentral.com.

The demonstrators complain that the federal government's response to the increase in new arrivals from Central America was putting their communities at risk.

Kwasman tweeted from the scene "Bus coming in. This is not compassion. This is the abrogation of the rule of law," according to the website.

Kwasman later said, "I was able to actually to see some of the children in the buses. And the fear on their faces ... This is not compassion," according to video broadcast on the site.

Told by a reporter that the children on the yellow school bus were actually YMCA campers, Kwasman said, "They were sad, too," and admitted he made a mistake.

Trump Plaza in Atlantic City to close

(Reuters) - The Trump Plaza Hotel in Atlantic City could shut its doors in September and lay off 1,000 workers, a local newspaper reported, in what could make it the fourth casino to close this year in the faltering New Jersey resort city.

The Press of Atlantic City said in a story posted online late on Friday that an official from Trump Plaza called New Jersey state Senator Jim Whelan and told him the casino, which is owned by Trump Entertainment Resorts, expected to issue layoff notices on Monday ahead of a Sept. 16 closure.

Reuters could not confirm the report. Representatives for Trump Entertainment Resorts, Whelan and a union for the casino's employees did not returns calls.

Trump Plaza employs about 1,000 people, according to regulatory reports.

If Trump is for creating jobs as he calls for Obama to do, he should save this establishment.

5 Reasons Cleveland Is A Terrible Choice To Hold The GOPís 2016 Convention

The Republican National Committee has selected Cleveland to host its 2016 convention, Chairman Reince Priebus announced on Tuesday. Though the GOPís desire to carry Ohioís 18 electoral votes in the 2016 presidential election undoubtedly played a major role in the selection, Republicans will be fighting an uphill battle. They havenít carried the Buckeye State since 2004, and with good reason: Ohio, and Cleveland in particular, has been bucking Republican policies for years.

Here are five ways:
Cleveland is benefiting from $1.4 billion in stimulus funding.

Cleveland is helping expand Obamacare coverage to thousands of lower-income residents.

Cleveland is embracing marriage equality protections for LGBT couples.

Cleveland is supporting sensible new gun laws. (don't go crazy all you gun nuts)

Cleveland is recognizing climate change and lowering its carbon emissions.

The Cupcake bubble has crumbled

Cupcake shop Crumbs shuttering all its stores

NEW YORK- Crumbs says it is shuttering all its stores, a week after the struggling cupcake shop operator was delisted from the Nasdaq.

The New York City-based company said all employees were notified of the closures Monday. A representative for Crumbs could not immediately say how many workers were affected or how many stores it had remaining on its last day.

"Regrettably Crumbs has been forced to cease operations and is immediately attending to the dislocation of its employees while it evaluates its limited remaining options," the company said in an emailed statement. That will include filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation.
