Trump has Divided the Muslim Ban into Two Groups of Countries

Majority Muslim countries in which Donald Trump, or his family members, have business interests, and those that don't.

<Snip> The executive order he signed Friday bars all entry for the next 90 days by travelers from Syria, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Sudan, Somalia and Libya. Excluded from the lists are several majority-Muslim nations where the Trump Organization is active and which in some cases have also faced troublesome issues with terrorism.<Snip>

<Snip>Trump’s order makes no mention of Turkey, which has faced several terrorist attacks in recent months. On Wednesday, the State Department updated a travel warning for Americans visiting Turkey, noting that “an increase in anti-American rhetoric has the potential to inspire independent actors to carry out acts of violence against US citizens.”

Trump has licensed his name to two luxury towers in Istanbul. A Turkish company also manufactures a line of Trump-branded home furnishings. Trump’s most recent financial disclosure, filed in May when he was a presidential candidate, showed that he had earned as much as $6 million in the previous year from the deals.

“I have a little conflict of interest ’cause I have a major, major building in Istanbul,” he said in a December 2015 interview with Breitbart News. More recently, he has insisted that he has no conflicts because laws making conflicts illegal do not apply to the president.

Also untouched by Friday’s executive order is the United Arab Emirates, a powerful Muslim ally with whom the United States nevertheless has complicated relations. Trump has licensed his name to a Dubai golf resort, as well as a luxury home development and spa. <Snip>

Maybe President Trump is Correct

Maybe there was massive voter fraud in the 2016 general election.

Donald Trump has Finally Spoken the Truth

I just finished watching and listening to President Trump's Inaugural Address.

When he said that he has spent the past 3 days writing that speech himself, I thought he was lying.

After listening to that address, I am sure he is telling the truth.

No other person who is literate in the English language, except Donald John Trump, could have possibly written such an empty, shallow, jingoistic, incoherent, narcissistic, egotistical, unintelligible and hypocritical pile of absolute stinking bull-shit than the speech I just heard come out of the mouth of the 45th President of the United States.

Could Trump Be Proposing A Health Care Plan I Agree With?

Let's, for the moment, assume Trump is not lying this time (admittedly, an assumption that's difficult to make any time).

Trump has said that he will be unveiling a plan in 2 weeks that will "cover everyone". His HHS nominee, Rep. Price has said, under oath, that he has not discussed this plan with the President-Elect.

logically, (and again, there hasn't been any logical way of assessing anything political in the past 18 months), we can deduce something for sure. Donald Trump can in no way come up with a replacement health plan that covers every American, on his own, in two weeks, unless it's the simplest of plans.

The only assumption, beyond Trump bull-shit, is that the Trump plan is "Medicare for all". If that's his plan, he has my full support. If it's not, than we can call "bull-shit".

Let's get something straight about the national polls

Donald Trump says that the national polls that show him at historically low numbers in popularity can't be believed because they were so inaccurate in regards to the 2016 election.

Most national polls had Hillary up 3 or 4 points on the eve of the election. She won by more than 2 points. That's not too far off at all. Granted that the state polls were off, but most of them are done by local newspapers or other outlets with smaller sample sizes.

But a 40% national approval rating is not 10 to 20 points off.

Trump is unpopular and them's the facts.

Netanyahu Visited by Israeli Police in Corruption investigation

<Snip> JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli police are questioning Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over corruption allegations, local media reported after police cars arrived at his residence Monday.

The police team did not speak to journalists, but Israeli media said they are looking into suspicions that Netanyahu inappropriately accepted expensive gifts from two businessmen. The reports said the initial questioning, which began Monday evening, could last several hours. <Snip>
