I love internet shopping! It's a life saver!

I spent an hour this morning picking up a couple things at the grocery and browsing at the fabric store and a book store. I am done for the day! Fortunately I can sit at a desk and work, because that's all that's going to be happening!

Dog Logic: when the brown truck comes up to the house,

I bark like mad at it, and it goes away.

I have protected my home from the brown truck.

How fast can you spot the error in this Facebook posting?

"Finally!! I FOUND it! DONT want to lose this again - DON'T be like me! SHARE to save this on your wall!! You won't believe it!!!!!! NO FLOUR, NO OIL, NO WHITE SUGAR Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Bites **SHARE so it will save in your timeline** Ingredients: 1 1/4 cups canned* chickpeas, well-rinsed and patted dry with a paper towel 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1/2 cup + 2 tablespoons (165 grams) natural peanut butter (can use PB2 from gym to make healthier, check your labels) 1/4 cup (80 grams) honey (agave would be amazing too!) 1 teaspoon baking powder** a pinch of salt if your peanut butter doesn’t have salt in it 1/2 cup (90 grams) chocolate chips * My can was a 400 gram can, 240 grams without the water, and I used all but a few tablespoons ** If you need grain-free baking powder, you can use 1 part cream of tartar + 1 part baking soda + 2 parts arrowroot. Directions: Preheat your oven to 350°F / 175°C. Combine all the ingredients, except for the chocolate chips, in a food processor and process until very smooth. Make sure to scrape the sides and the top to get the little chunks of chickpeas and process again until they’re combined. Put in the chocolate chips and stir it if you can, or pulse it once or twice. The mixture will be very thick and sticky. With wet hands, form into 1 1/2? balls. Place onto a piece of parchment paper. If you want them to look more like normal cookies, press down slightly on the balls. They don’t do much rising. Bake for about 10 minutes. Yields about fourteen 1 1/2? cookie dough balls. *** Don't even try with regular peanut butter! They'll come out oily. You MUST use natural peanut butter PLEASE SHARE To SAVE be sure to click photo then click SHARE so it will store on your personal page. recipes and motivational weight loss tips Join me here:"

Odd Christmas memories:

At work, I saw a safety film showing how people were safe at work, but managed to hurt themselves at home getting ready for Christmas - hanging lights from a broken ladder, slipping on ice, etc. I told my kids about it, and they insisted I borrow the video. They thought it was the funniest thing they'd ever seen - they saw it as slapstick!

Apartheid and me:

Back when Apartheid was going through it's death throes, I lived in a small city in a rural county outside Columbus, Ohio. Ironically, considering that General Sherman was born there, at that time I think the area was completely white. We used to watch the news every night on a B&W TV. We used to try to explain the news to our four year old son. When my young son finally saw a black person in real life, he assumed that that person was from South Africa. We had to explain then that most African Americans had been here far longer than our family, that we were the newcomers!

I revisited the area recently. It has become a bedroom community for Columbus, and the influx of newcomers has brought a more representative population mix!

New Weirdness: my right hand tends to be cold, my left hand is warm!

My right hand is in use, my left hand just sitting on the desk. This has happened while working with the mouse and writing in a notebook.

"An important piece of jewelry" "a statement piece"

What makes a piece of jewelry important? What is it saying?
