Court House to White House

that's an old meme....but extremely useful...

If our current State Party Leadership won't subscribe to it, it's time we took matters into our own hands and started running good, solid Dems for every Repub seat in the state...and if we can't back it up with money we'll have to back it up with man/woman power..

The entire Congress is up for re-election and about 1/3 of the senate.

The entire State Assembly is up for re-election and so is about 1/3 of the State Senate.

In the local races...only 1 out of 19 seats on the Wood County Board is Contested..
....only one out of 5 City Council seats is contested.

We've got to do better and if our so-called leadership in Madison won't step up then we have to

Bradly's extramarital affair

So...Wisconsin...the dynamic has changed?

The John Doe case is headed for the Supreme Court no matter how many obstacles the Wisconsin Supreme Court throw in its path....

The 5-4 dynamic of SCOTUS did not bode well for the chances of the Supreme Court of Wisconsin being overturned.

but then....

Justice Scalia dies...

It's 4-4 and that means deadlock until and unless a new justice is confirmed...will the case be put on hold in SCOTUS? or will it die? What the new dynamic?

Favorite quote:

"...who shall fill public stations educated and patriotic free men, or the feudal serfs of corporate capital?"

I nominate Charles Pierce to be an honorary Wisconsinite!

This guy said it clearly...no mealy-mouthed weasel words..he calls Walker and his ilk for what they are...

Wood County passes resolutions for referendas in November

Wood County voters will have the chance the ask the state to approve expansion of BadgerCare and approve raising the minimum wage to $10.10 per hour in November. Both resolutions passed the Board at their meeting last Tuesday.

The vote on Badgercare was 12-5 (with two Supervisors absent)

The vote on the minimum wages was a nail-biting 9-8.

We did our part....now the voters have to do theirs.

Walker "Quietly" signs voting restrictions...

and Beloit news reacts...appropriately..

Well, well, well.....

This could be a very interesting late summer/early fall...maybe a special election?

So...the Joint Finance Committee (JFC)

...voted to reject expansion of Medicaid and to endorse WALKERCARE.....

It costs the state $29 Million more.

It deprives thousands of health care.

Everybody from the Hospital Association, Legislative Audit Bureau, and the Rand Corporation say the state would be better off WITH the expansion...

but they voted it down anyway...

WAY TO GO BONEHEADS!

Hey Walker!

Suck
on
this!!
