So , I'm channel surfing here, checking out the news about this huge blizzard in the East

CNN and MSNBC are both doing in-depth reporting on the conditions out there, I hit Fox and it's stories about how bad the President is with his doing a non-traditional online interview and some supposed coddling of terrorists.

No wonder people who watch FOX are LESS informed than people who don't watch news at all.

Bad Cop, No Donut: 25 Jan 15 - Cop may not face liability for negligence in K9 mauling

Cops aren’t the Only Ones who can Assault Innocent People with Impunity, Their Dogs Can Too

Atlanta, GA — A DeKalb County police officer is claiming “official immunity” after she failed to properly restrain her K-9 and it got loose, maiming an 11-year-old boy.

The Georgia Supreme Court is now determining whether or not the family of the boy can sue for damages.

According to NBC 11,

On November 6, 2011, Officer Lynn Eshleman’s K9, Andor, bit an 11-year-old neighbor playing in his neighbor’s yard.
Officer Eshleman had warned children in the neighborhood not to look over the fence because it antagonized the dog. She also warned them if he ever escaped the fence, they should just stand still. “When you run, you become prey to a dog,” she allegedly told the children.
When Andor escaped from the back of the officer’s truck one day, he ran into the yard where the boys were playing. When 11-year-old Chandler Key tried to run away, Andor latched onto his arm and dragged him to the ground.

Eshleman admitted that she had not securely closed the door of the kennel and that the canine got out of her truck, according to the lawsuit.

The boys father filed a lawsuit against Eshleman, claiming that she was liable for damages caused by her negligence. Chandler suffered “a gaping laceration and puncture wound and had to be treated at the hospital with injections and stitches,” according to his father. The 11-year-old is mentally traumatized as well.

I've got Jeb on C-Span, speaking to a car dealer convention

This is the first time I've ever seen and heard him speak in front of an audience.

A couple of observations:

1. He actually sounds cogent when he opens his mouth.

2. He can't tell the truth or use facts to save his life.

I figure that both he and Mittens are going to be the drivers of the GOP clown car. He might even be the nominee.

Yep, the GOPers are going to try and send another Bush to the White House and if he actually steals the White House, as did his other namesakes, his administration would spell disaster for America.

Can you imagine ALL THREE BRANCHES of government completely ruled by these people?

I guarantee that THAT would result in a war against Iran and economic collapse.

He's a slick motherfucker… Probably the slickest of them all.

Dawn Of The Street Signs!

The Family Budget robs grandma!

I hope to GAWD that Ernst gets it into her empty skull to run for President

Even dead comedy writers would rise from their graves to write her skits.

I think that the words "Keep smiling" has been plastered on Ernst's teleprompter

President Obama's best SOTU ever!

No doubt about it.

I'm watching the SOTU on C-SPAN

Great to not hear the babblers babble.

OK, I will say it… Rich motherfuckers don't deserve any more god damned money

Over half the world's wealth? Are you fucking kidding me? In a world where misery abounds, where poor and distressed people are turning to radicalism in order to alleviate their suffering, where the environment is being ravaged for profit, where the world around us is crumbling, we want to fatten the already overflowing coffers of the greediest of the greedy?

Fuck that noise.

This isn't about jealously, or envy… It's about basic survival.

Our economies have been stagnant for decades, wages frozen as the cost of living rises, becoming more and more expensive for those who earn wages to live. We've forgotten how to prosper. We've learned that empathy is for suckers. It's now our duty to love our rich masters at the detriment of ourselves and our loved ones.

I could go on all day about this, but I won't. The balance of power has been bought and paid for by the people who have stolen our futures. Little do they know that these things always require a correction, a reckoning. Forcing one will not make it any more palatable for anyone. It'll create general suffering to impel action.

At that time, after the chaos and the aftermath, people will look back and wonder why we let this go on for so long. They'll say that they've came to their senses where we have not. And after some time, in a moment of comfort and absence of due diligence, they'll start creeping into the same old mistakes that got us where we are now.

Past is prologue.

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."
