Malaysia Airlines Expands Investigation To Include General Scope Of Space, Time

Assuming the actuality of wavefunction collapse, Malaysia Airlines officials say flight MH370
could currently be located in any possible alternate future.

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA—Following a host of conflicting reports in the wake of the mysterious disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 last Saturday, representatives from the Kuala Lumpur–based carrier acknowledged they had widened their investigation into the vanished Boeing 777 aircraft today to encompass not only the possibilities of mechanical failure, pilot error, terrorist activity, or a botched hijacking, but also the overarching scope of space, time, and humankind’s place in the universe.

The airline, now in its fifth day of searching for the passenger jet carrying 239 passengers and crew, has come under fire for its perceived mishandling of the investigation, whose confusing and contradictory reports have failed to provide definitive answers on everything from how long the missing plane remained aloft after losing contact with air traffic controllers, to whether the flight made a radical alteration in its heading, to the very dimensions of space-time and the nature of reality, and what exactly it is that brought us into existence and imbued us with this thing we call life.

Additionally, the airline confirmed it had expanded its active search area to include a several-hundred-square-mile zone in the Indian Ocean as well as each of the seven or 22 additional spatial dimensions posited by string theory.

“We continue to do everything in our power and explore every possible lead—both Cartesian and phenomenological—to locate the aircraft as quickly as possible,” said Malaysia’s civil aviation chief Azharuddin Abdul Rahman, who went on to say that authorities were still actively seeking tips from anyone claiming knowledge related either to the flight, or to the mechanisms by which consciousness arises, or to the question of why anything physical and finite exists instead of nothing at all. “At this stage, we can’t rule anything out: not crew interference with the transponders, not a catastrophic electrical failure, not the emergence of a complex topological feature of space-time such as an Einstein-Rosen bridge that could have deposited the flight at any location in the universe or a different time period altogether, nothing.”

GOP Rep. Refuses To Apologize For Disgusting Joke About Women And Domestic Violence

by DAVID BADASH on MARCH 12, 2014
in BIGOTRY WATCH,NEWS,POLITICS

Kyle Tasker thinks domestic violence is a laughing matter. The New Hampshire Republican state representative took to Facebook this week to defend a fellow Republican, by attacking women and domestic violence survivors.

Tasker tried to stand up for Republican Mark Warden, who last year said that some people “like being in abusive relationships.” ”It’s a love-hate relationship,” Warden concluded.

On Facebook, Tasker posted an image which depicts two people, drawn as stick figures, apparently having oral sex, and captioned, “50,000 battered women and I still eat mine plain.”

I'm pretty much convinced that GOPers and run of the mill Winger Cons are running this internal contest within themselves to say the most reprehensible thing in public possible. And were I to gather what the grand prize would be, I'd say that it would be the right of the winner to keep a small Black child in their basement as a sex slave.

So, if perhaps he discover that one of them had, in fact, kept a small Black child in their basement as a sex slave, then we can assume that I'm on to something here.

It's official, Hollywood has exhausted its supply of Native American actresses...

I'm wondering if this person is for real: Why You Shouldn’t Tip (At All)

MAR. 5, 2014 By NICOLE MULLEN

Recently, a four year old blog post has been getting a lot of attention on social media. Sometime in 2009, a man named Bhagwad Jal Park posted an excoriation on tipping entitled, Five Reasons I Won’t Tip If You’re A Waiter. The responses to the original post were mostly negative, and the article is being shared on Facebook as an example of how shitty people can be.

What disturbs me isn’t that some people don’t tip, it’s the fact that to even criticize tipping is immediately met with such vitriol and hatred that one has to question why we’re so systematically inclined to agree with service industry employees. Doesn’t it alarm anyone that we don’t even question the act of tipping? Doesn’t it bother anyone that no one has taken a step back and looked at the other side of the conversation? Isn’t anyone concerned with the feelings of the customers? After all, it’s the customers that bring money into the restaurants. It’s the customers that pay for the meals, and ultimately, it’s the customers that pay the waiters rent.

I’m going to let you guys in on a secret. I am a customer. I eat out a lot, and sometimes, most of the time really, I don’t tip! It’s not because I can’t afford it, it’s because the waiters can. When I go out on Friday nights to get fucked up and YOLO at Chili’s with my gal pals, the simple act of not tipping is the only form of rebellion I’m allowed as a working mom. It’s the only “fuck you” to the man that I have left.

You see, waiters are already paid. They earn $2.37 an hour, a living wage, and most of the time, they are tipped on top of that. People love to make a point out of being good tippers. The entire industry is built on the pretense of altruism. Not only is someone bringing you food, but you get to act like a hero at the end when you round up to the nearest whole dollar.
