About Me

I truly believe that we will all live in peace and brotherhood someday. And so that I don't lose my faith in humanity, I will live my life as if that day had already happened.

I've definitely had too much to drink: I'm surfing the Net, and thinking: "God, everything is so

Saturday night Belgian Ale-buzz. Anybody still up?

Two more weeks of clinic, then I'll get two weeks off.

Can't wait.

I haven't had more than a week off at a time in more than two years...

Saturday, April 2nd. The Weekend Edition of Wiliam Shakespeare's Thought for The Day:

"Thou disputes like an infant..."

Love's Labour's Lost, Act V, Scene 1, Line 63.

Friday night wine/Not Your Father's Root Beer buzz. Not buzzed enough to solicit risque comments.

But go ahead if the spirit moves you...

Saturday, March 26th. The Weekend Edition of William Shakespeare's Thought For The Day.

"Such inordinate and low desires,
Such poor, such bare, such lewd, such mean attempts,
Such barren pleasures, rude society,
As thou art match'd withal, and grafted to!"

Henry IV, Part I, Act III, Scene 2, Lines 12-15.

Relaxing with an IPA before mentally preparing for new week of clinic.

This stuff is pretty tame. Don't know if it will get me buzzed. Probably won't get it again...

Saturday, March 19th. The Weekend Edition of William Shakespeare's Thought For The day.

"What a pestilent knave is this same."

Romeo And Juliet, Act IV, Scene 5, Line 139.

Friday night buzz. No red wine tonight. This time: a Heavenly Belgian Ale.

Heavenly because monks make it...

Wonderful because it provokes less-than-pure thoughts...

Didn't have a patient die today. But one of them told me her son had died of a heroin overdose.

I hadn't visited with her in almost a year. Her son died last June. She was so distraught that she took up heroin herself again. She managed to get clean again, and was still clean as of today's visit.

But the vicious circle keeps on turning around and around...

That's what makes it vicious.

And a circle...

Saturday, March 12th. The Weekend Edition of William Shakespeare's Thought For The Day:

"In most strange postures we have seen him set himself."

Henry VIII, Act III, Scene 2, Line 118.
