He also said that politics as usual will not cut it!
I mean how more clear could he get without
insulting them?

I mean really, when the turnout is that low, you have to start looking in the mirror.

MORE, because it showed how little they care about what the voters are SAYING or what they want.

Voters gave them the House, Senate and the WH. And then they turned their backs on them even having their spokespersons basically tell them to 'stfu' that their ideas were 'retarded' among other things.

So the voters took them at their word. And they seem shocked! Makes you wonder what they think about voters in general, although I have a fair idea.

I don't do straight party voting after that. You have to earn my vote, anymore.

Just to clue both parties: The younger generations could give a damn about party loyalty. They care about the issues that directly effect their lives.

Both the Democratic Party and the GOP are failing miserably.

Bernie speaks to them.

After thinking about what Sanders said and what you wrote... Your thread
is right. I think I was reacting to the post just stating the DNC's establishment policies.

So, yes, let's call it like it is - we need push our Dem Party more to the left.

Sanders, indeed, said

"Let me be very clear. In my view, Democrats will not retain the White House, will not regain the Senate, will not gain the House and will not be successful in dozens of governor’s races unless we run a campaign which generates excitement and momentum and which produces a huge voter turnout. "

"With all due respect, and I do not mean to insult anyone here, that will not happen with politics as usual. The same old, same old will not be successful."

But, that includes republican establishment politics as well.

Listening to Bernie2016TV still and they are asking
people on the ground how the DNC reacted to his speech.
They all think that he told them what they needed to hear
not what they wanted to hear. The truth. If the DNC is not
the establishment then who are they? Why would he feel
the need to say "I do not mean to insult anyone here..."
I guess it's a matter of interpretation.

And apparently Debbie refused to hear the request/motion for
more debates. Said it was out of order. Meeting shut down.

it's all about manipulating 'the message'. I hate that phrase 'the message'. We don't WANT 'messages' that are carefully scripted to control the dialogue.

We want what Bernie is doing, we want to hear the truth. We want to hear about ISSUES. We are not interested in their small world and how their 'experts' think the way things ought to be. Clearly the people don't agree with these high-priced experts and never did. But until NOW they people were prevented from having a voice.

So Bernie took matters into his own hands and stepped up to provide that voice.

Everywhere I go I see people saying 'wow, he speaks for me'.

And from across the political spectrum.

DWS should either run the DNC like a democratic organization and stop trying to control the outcome of the primaries. She CAN'T so it would be far better to start paying attention to the people, or they won't pay much attention to her.

Seems like there was very raucous applause throughout the speech. He hit all the right notes imo. It was interesting to see DWS's reaction after his speech, she had a pretty big smile on her face...hmmm.

Bernie smoked it, Great Speech, BUT You could feel the Third Way "Discomfort" and DWS did everything she could to look in control but she looked like a deer in the headlights, Then when the gentleman from the Virgin islands spoke of debates she suddenly had someone call point of order bull shit then shuffled it right off the floor, I for one will not Vote for Status Quo candidates Period .
