Inauthentic....

...is Jon Stewart's description of HRC. I think it is right on point. One does not know where she stands b/c her position constantly changes depending on to whom she is speaking or whether the position is "politically safe" - no the right thing to do - "safe". I think it is why she is described as not trusted or dishonest.

Compare and contrast Bernie's positions over his lifetime. Consistent.

As a over 65 female feminist, I am NOT with her. I will write Bernie's name in if HRC is the nominee.

effectively a vote for Trump. Yes, a write-in vote does make a statement, but the consequences are not good.

And this point is looking like two evils.

I can't fault anyone for voting their conscience at this point.

And making a choice does not mean that the other choice is evil.

"Fifty years ago, when he fought for desegregation in Chicago, he didn’t do that for political calculation. He did that because he cares! When he chained himself to an African American woman to make sure that they couldn’t take her away either, he didn’t do that for political calculation. He did that because he cares! So when they were ready, the cops were at the time, ready to drag her away, he was the first to say “I’m with her!” And that’s when it mattered!" - Cenk Uygur

most, and having Bernie in the race makes the contrrast even greater.

Other than her comittment to second wave feminism, which happens to coincide with her own self interests, I can't think of anything she has consistently stood for. The trend line, though, is towards greater progressivity on social issues, and greater conservativism on economic issues and foreign policy. And I have no confidence that there is any group she wouldn't throw under the bus to get elected.

I hope I am not compelled to choose between her and Trump, because, if you can believe anything he says, ihe s shaping up to be the opposite--terrible on social issues, but better on foreign policy and trade issues.

I'm really pissed that Democrats and Republicans have colluded to make social issues the central ones in national elections for so many years, and essentially offer us the same pro-corporations economic poliies and foreign policies.

But having to weigh civil rights at home against violence abroad and impoverishment at home and abroad sucks even more.
