(3,343 posts)That SC is gonna be BRUTAL... and that Bernie has a path to win SC... and if that's close the entire Dem establishment is gonna turn on Bernie... ugh.

(17,064 posts)Sanders can close the gap, but it's not looking to me like there's a possibility of a win.
Overall, he's going to struggle in the southern states. But he'll be strong in other regions. I think there's a pretty good path to the nomination, barring convention shenanigans. And a scorched earth civil war at the convention is going to hurt down ticket Democratic candidates as much as the presidential nominee.

(17,064 posts)But I think he'll be a bit outside that. Still, a lot can change in 2 weeks, so we never know.

(3,343 posts)he's edging up slightly every single day... if he gets within 10% we'll see full freak out from Dem pols I'd wager.

Here in MN we vote March 1 and we are working on it with our volunteers as much as we can.

(3,764 posts)things can change fast. That first national poll that showed Sanders neck-and-neck with Clinton was only a couple of weeks after the polls said Hillary was way ahead.
I heard a rumor just now that Harry Belafonte is fixing to endorse Sanders. That might be good with older black voters.

(582 posts)And this after MSNBC has been spinning Hillary all day. That is... Voters who backed Bernie, who changed their minds in the polling booth and voted for Hillary. All day.....

(45,984 posts)If that is true about NH tonight and South Carolina in three weeks, then it means that wheels aren't just coming off Hillaty's campaign, but off the entire corporatist establishment. That would mean we're in for a true watershed moment in November, and that would be the best thing America will have had to cheer about in the lifetimes of most of us.
Feel the Bern. Power to the people and down with the corrupt establishment.
