On jury duty, after submitting my vote, I get message: "That jury is not accepting votes. This is ..

"That jury is not accepting votes. This is likely because the post has received the necessary votes or was deleted."

Is it that I took too long and the software selected someone else? I took about 5 minutes on this one to look at the context of the alerted-on post, which I usually do. Quite irritating to spend several minutes informing myself of what the thread is about (rather than reacting to one post without looking at the context). And/or writing a detailed reason for my decision to hide or leave alone.

Thanks for any info on what causes that message to appear.

or been given an "under review" status before the jury completed it's job. They could be banned by the malicious intruder removal team or because they had a certain number of hidden posts in a short period of time.

It's not your fault. You have 30 minutes to complete the job.

This person's post that was eventually hidden, though my vote didn't count, is still active (an hour after the jury decision), with nearly 100,000 posts (and a familiar person to someone like me who spends too much time on DU, and an OK person). Not someone likely to be banned, but just went over the line by starting an OP that was a callout of a person in another thread, calling that other person a troll (debatable in my view, would have to look at more of that person's posts). Thanks for the info.

I don't know why you got that message then.

You might want to post this in Ask the Administrators section because it sounds like a glitch.

I know which thread you are talking about.

received jury result. This is pretty recent, though. If you have time, post about it in ATA and you can include a link to my comment too. THat will let admins know to check it out.
