before a post gets alerted and MIR or the site admin takes them out.

(unless they pretend to be Democrats or liberals, that is - aka trolls)

5. Okay, so I'm asking because of all the pro-Putin neo-cons / right wingers who are very visible on DU

But they do pretend to be Democrats--they all have Warren or Sanders logos--so they are technically trolls.

They do things like use the video forum which creates a very visible presences and post all kinds of basic Kremlin propaganda--like one actual fascist post that I got removed today. But it is constant.

They fit into this TOS note under "right-wingers in general" "advocates of violent...change" and "America-haters" plus "and the like", but perhaps the TOS should be updated to included "overt supporters of dictatorships" or something?

Teabaggers, Neo-cons, Dittoheads, Paulites, Freepers, Birthers, and right-wingers in general are not welcome here. Neither are certain extreme-fringe left-wingers, including advocates of violent political/social change, hard-line communists, terrorist-apologists, America-haters, kooks, crackpots, LaRouchies, and the like.

I would point out that, just like anti-democratic forces can use the tools of democracy to subvert it, so can these pro-dictator posters use DU to subvert its intention.

Their high visibility despite their low numbers (probable sock puppets) seem to fit into this TOS violation category:
If you seem to be ruining this website for a large proportion of our visitors, if we think the community as a whole would be better off without you here, if you are constantly wasting the DU Administrators' time, if you seem to oppose the mission of DU, or if the DU Administrators just don't like you, we will revoke your posting privileges.

So what's it take to get a MIRT team to just get rid of these fascists as soon as they show up on DU?

7. What you need to do is hit "Alert" on any suspect post from one of these jokers.

And the poster will be looked over, either by MIRT or by the Admins.

8. thx, I've done that but

in more than one case it's obvious that pro-Putin DUers were on the jury--I can show you if you want.

One recent case was pretty clear-cut and such posts had been hidden by a jury before (calling the entire Ukraine or Ukraine military "Nazis&quot but in the recent case the jury sided with the pro-Putin neocon, which apparently is still getting a pass from admin/MIRT.

So please advise

9. Yikes, that's awful. I guess if I were you, I'd go to Skinner.

Post in Ask the Administrators, and lay out the whole case, documentation and all.

MIRT can only act if the poster has fewer than 100 posts, BTW. After that, the Admins take over.

I don't know what else to suggest.

I'm sorry.

The phenomenon is killing DU. Look at this recent thread on potential new Defense Secretary--at least 33% are known Putin supporters. http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1014&pid=952887

They have taking over
