(6,419 posts)But they do pretend to be Democrats--they all have Warren or Sanders logos--so they are technically trolls.
They do things like use the video forum which creates a very visible presences and post all kinds of basic Kremlin propaganda--like one actual fascist post that I got removed today. But it is constant.
They fit into this TOS note under "right-wingers in general" "advocates of violent...change" and "America-haters" plus "and the like", but perhaps the TOS should be updated to included "overt supporters of dictatorships" or something?
I would point out that, just like anti-democratic forces can use the tools of democracy to subvert it, so can these pro-dictator posters use DU to subvert its intention.
Their high visibility despite their low numbers (probable sock puppets) seem to fit into this TOS violation category:
So what's it take to get a MIRT team to just get rid of these fascists as soon as they show up on DU?

(6,419 posts)in more than one case it's obvious that pro-Putin DUers were on the jury--I can show you if you want.
One recent case was pretty clear-cut and such posts had been hidden by a jury before (calling the entire Ukraine or Ukraine military "Nazis" but in the recent case the jury sided with the pro-Putin neocon, which apparently is still getting a pass from admin/MIRT.
So please advise

MIRT can only act if the poster has fewer than 100 posts, BTW. After that, the Admins take over.
I don't know what else to suggest.
I'm sorry.

(6,419 posts)The phenomenon is killing DU. Look at this recent thread on potential new Defense Secretary--at least 33% are known Putin supporters. http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1014&pid=952887
