I have followed DU since the early 2000s, but only became an active member in the last year.

I am a church educated atheist, who tried hard to find my religious home before I realized that I just don't believe in magic and the Supernatural.

I haves lived in liberal areas around Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, and Los Angeles most of my life. The 2 exceptions were a brief period in the Allegheny mountains in Western PA in the 70s and Jacksonville, FL 2005-2010 (the biggest mistake of my life!!)

I am happy to be back in the "Rust Belt" and, although I an not gay, I am proud to live in the most LGBT friendly suburb of relatively liberal Cuyahoga County Ohio.

I kissed the ground as soon as I got back to Ohio! Never again will I live in the South! Great Lakes region or West Coast are alright with me, but I witnessed the worst kind of people, who you thought no longer existed, while living in the South. NO THANK YOU!!!

I am a democratic-socialist. I am a New Dealer and a Keynesian.

If HRC is our candidate in 2016, I will certainly vote for her against any Republican, but I am convinced that the pendulum is finally swinging back our way and we can do much better than Hillary.

I have a foul mouth and I am not afraid to use it.

I'm glad you're here! I have some very good friends who live in your area, and indeed it is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

I sure agree with you about Hillary! There are many here who love her and who want her to be our next President. *sigh*

Anyway, make yourself at home. There are many groups and forums to explore and post in, if you want to.
