Found DU as a haven of sanity in 2004, moderated for a long spell toward the end of DU2....and really like the upgrades/changes that make DU3.
Very left wing/liberal - strong Pres. Obama supporter (though he is not nearly as liberal/left as I would like)....will likely work for his re-election.
I haven't been around much (gardening season has me really busy - you can find me most there or in Cooking - doing more reading than posting these days).
See me for your gardening info needs - esp. heirloom tomatoes!
By the way, I've met (a few in person) some of the absolutely smartest, sharpest, nicest people here on DU.

Did I ever tell you that NC is one of my all-time favourite places to visit. We've vacationed in Oak Island a few times, and I love driving through the state. Love the people. Love the BBQ
Still on my to-do list is to schedule some minor-league ball games next time we're down that way.

and I loved taking the ferry to Ocracoke. I guess it was about 10 years ago that we were there. I remember seeing wild horses as well, but don't recall which particular island they were on. Anyway, nice working with you on MIRT.
