Kinda late now but can I change my username's spelling?

I'm mojowork_n which is meant to be read as "MoJoWork'n" but
I don't think it always works. Are apostrophe's permitted characters
in usernames?

OK to update to that, or is it a no-go or too much trouble?

Maybe "MoJoWorkN?" No apostrophe, upper case N?

Just a thought.

How about "MoJoWorkin" or "MoJoWorken"? NYC_SKP Jul 2012 #7
Me too, but I'm loathe to drop my history, bookmarks, journal, etc. eom mojowork_n Jul 2012 #8

Name change amnesty, it was called.

Some changed their names, others did not, but except in extreme cases where for safety or other reasons admins allowed a member to change a name, one is not provided a means by which to change their user name.

AFAIK

You could open a new account and close your old one, however.

First, send a PM or email to any or all of the contacts on this page: http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=contact

Explain there exactly what you propose to do by starting a new account and wanting to delete the old one.

Then, log out and create a new identity, username, password, etc., and begin using it.

I would recommend then sending the identical PM or email to the same people (EarlG and Elad, for example) explaining that you've created the new identity, what your new user name is, and to please deactivate the old account.

Lot's of words but not that hard to do.

Cheers!
