1. It's astonishing to me that feminism is put on a level playing field with MRA

on DU. As if MRA has some legitimate purpose here on DU. I'm talking about MRA's who blame feminism for their issues. You know the ones who don't want to move past the early 50's?

They don't want to hear feminist concerns and we are just right wingers here to divide and conquer democrats. Keep feminism in a box. LOL

Well, it's a new one... when will we see the last, I don't friggin know.

3. It's like putting civil rights and white supremacists on the same level

Because MRA is the gender version of White Supremacy.

4. And saying that civil rights needs to be kept off in a corner somewhere..

because they just can't bear to see posts combatting white supremacy.

5. They've essentially accomplished that anyway

Look how few posters of color participate on this site. There is a reason for it.

15. Because again, people's precious fee-fees take precedence over discussing complex, difficult issues

on a left-leaning website no less. I feel like I'm banging my head against a goddamn cement wall when I go round and round with some of these folks.

16. It is pointless

The number one lesson I took away from the rape porn threads is that people don't read or process what you write. If they don't want to think about an issue differently, they will refuse to do so at all costs.
