Is there an online, Occupy friendly, bank alternative

that accepts direct deposits, doesn't require an already existing bank account and would allow me to pay my credit card bills online through them? Something that works like PayPal's BillPay but just not PayPal?

In other words, I don't want to use any of the traditional banks or support paypal.

I looked at WePay but that doesn't look like I could use it to pay credit card bills yet.

Thanks.

Occupy Money Cooperative

It's time. We've been nickel-and-dimed enough by banks that care more about making money off of us than for us.

Banking doesn't have to be like that. It can be cooperative, democratic and empowering. It can be for our well-being, not for the boss's profit. Banking can be low-cost and transparent, so that it's accessible to everyone and everyone knows upfront what the fees are.

No more "gotcha" fees.

No more over-drafting. No more predatory lending. No more nonsense.

In the coming weeks, we'll be launching a crowd-funding campaign to build The Occupy Money Cooperative into a decentralized, nationwide network to provide access to low-cost, transparent and high-quality financial services to everyone.

I'm hoping they find funding from someone, but it is too early in the game for me to hand over my back account.

From what I understand we would create new account thru this entity Occupy money and deposit our pay checks or whatever and skirt the banks directly. So I'm with you and waiting to see how this plays out.

there is also bit coin, but I'm not sure how that works.

a bank account and it wouldn't let me. And they provide no info on how to enter a bank account even if you wanted to add one. Must be early still. Guess I'll wait for further instructions.
