March against Monsanto taking place everywhere May 25 #GMO
http://www.naturalnews.com/040212_March_against_Monsanto_Occupy_GMO.html

With President Obama's recent signing of the Monsanto Protection Act, food safety advocates are up in arms. As GMOs fill grocery store shelves at an alarming rate, more people are growing aware of the health risks associated with genetically altered organisms. People are growing tired of this disease-promoting, genetically manipulated food. They are sick of controlling multinational corporations like Monsanto dictating their food supply. That's why on May 25th 2013, rallies across the world are organizing, from Australia to Germany, from New York to California. A March against Monsanto is expected to take place.

How important is real, organic food to you? Do you want to support small farmers and their independence? Do you want to protect the future of the seed and health of your family?

Research - look for ways to speak up and make a difference. Join a march against Monsanto rally on May 25th in your city: http://occupy-monsanto.com/tag/march/

1. Listen. Please. For just one moment. Then, back to the protest march.

Let me qualify by saying a) I despise Monsanto's predatory business practices and b) I don't get paid by Monsanto in any way, nor have I ever.

Have you considered approaching the farmers who buy these products with great relish? The same ones hollered for them in the first place? Approach them and ask them why they buy and plant GMO seeds. Please.

3. Clearly you do not understand what Monsanto has done to make it impossible for farmers

to operate as they used to. Are you aware of the patents they have forcing farmers to buy their products or go out of business? Are you aware of the draconian, mafia-style tactics they use against farmers who ignore their ridiculous laws and patents?

If you despise them as you say, surely it is because of their war on farmers at the very least, not to mention their gaining control of the world's food supply.

Monsanto is a criminal organization of the worst kind. What farmers do or don't do is not relevant at all to what this vile organization is doing to the world.

4. Nothing you said addressed my post, and I would appreciate at least an attempt.

However, I will address yours:
to operate as they used to. Are you aware of the patents they have forcing farmers to buy their products or go out of business? Are you aware of the draconian, mafia-style tactics they use against farmers who ignore their ridiculous laws and patents?

There is no patent anywhere that forces farmers to buy seed from a single source. If farmers don't want what Monsanto has to offer, they can buy elsewhere. I would like to hear about these patents you describe quoted above.

Monsanto is a criminal organization of the worst kind. What farmers do or don't do is not relevant at all to what this vile organization is doing to the world.

You express a lot of hate toward Monsanto, but it seems to be founded on ... what exactly?

6. Well here are my reasons for hating Monsanto:

One: They lied through their teeth many years ago to secure the licensing needed by the US EPA, in order to be able to sell RoundUp over the counter to unsuspecting people in this country.

How did they lie? They claimed their product was 41% glyphosate, 15% Polyoxyethalenamine, (POEA) and the rest ws water. In actual fact, there was formaldehyde in the mix. How do I know this? Back when I was an indie reporter, I was contacted by Bob Simon, PhD, who spent many years as a forensic witness on behalf of families suing Monsanto.

Simon found this out when the court forced Monsanto to reveal its actual and secret paperwork on the composition of the substance. What troubled Simon at the time he realized that formaldehyde was in the mix, it was like a "Duh!" moment for him. After all, glyphosate by itself is in cake form, and some kind of aldehyde is necessary for the cake to be able to become spray-able.

This means that for several decades people were exposed to formaldehyde. One result of this is countless cases of Multiple Sclerosis. Formaldehyde ranks in the TOP TEN of most nasty chemicals, right after nuke radiation, benzene, mercury and then formaldehyde.

Since sometime in the 1990's, the formaldehyde has been replaced by a different aldheyde. We the Consumers in this nation need to upset the apple cart of the EPA licensing practices. There is no reason under the sun for the EPA to not run a gas spectrometry(GS) test against substances the Big Companies want to license. None. And the notion that the Big Companies need "proprietary control" and shouldn't have to tell the EPA what is inside their products is ridiculous - because any company that wants to know what is in the other company's product only has to run a GS scan of the product.

This is all done so that the Big Companies can continue to poison us. We pay for stuff that should be put inside expensive Super Fund containers and then shipped off to expensive Super Fund sites, but since the toxins are sold to us, our purchases are saving the companies a bundle, who then also profit from our doing this. Wonder why Febreeze, Glade etc is promoted so much? It is NOT so much because they want profits on these products - they want us to buy it so the benzene and formaldehyde in these products is not Super Funded by them!

Two: Activists who have looked into RoundUp have found out some rather painful truths about RoundUp. For one thing, the product can combine with your prescription meds so that the meds are taken into your body in a more serious manner than intended - much like how grapefruit juice increases the effects of certain meds. But your pharmacist will warn you not to combine such and such a prescription med with grapefruit juice. Few people are aware that they are harming themselves by being on certain meds while using RoundUp.

Three: In keeping with the above, people with celiac disease are upping their risk of having stomach cancers by about 4000 percent if they use RoundUp. My neighborhood lost one of its shining lights a few years ago. E was a ground keeper for a big country club that used RoundUp. It is as safe as table salt, his employer told him. No one explained to him that Roundup when used by a celiac patient is a deadly mix. He was diagnosed with late stage stomach cancer and dead within nine months! Oh well, this nation's "elected officials" are mostly in Monsanto's employ, so this will continue to happen til we wipe Monsanto off the face of the earth.

8. Fascinating. I Googled your Point 1. It was revealing.

I got a few hits suggesting that formalde was a component of Roundup. When I combined that with "Dr. Bob Simon", I got about 20 hits, all of were entries at various places made by you. You see, only you are making this claim.

Taking the advice of one of these posts of yours, I looked for a Dr. Bob Simon, forensic witness against Monsanto. I found a guy named Bob Simon who does expert witness work -- as a forensic phychiatrist. Really? This is your guy telling the world of the dangers of formaldehyde in Roundup? A shrink?

No, sorry, I'm not buying any of this. It's all bullshit. Formaldehyde is not used as a "major ingredient" in Roundup or even a secondary ingredient. Under special circumstances, it might be a minor degradation product, but that remains to be seen.

This is a personal campaign of yours with an army of one. I ain't enlisting, either.

9. Uh, can I point out to you that Bob Simon is a common name.?

And yes, coincidentally, the Bob Simon Psychiatrist also does forensic witness work.

However, the Bob Simon that I was speaking of was running a chemical analysis company based in Maryland until a few years ago. the fact that he approached me and told me what he had been ordered to never reveal, according to court order, tells me he was close to the end of his career, in terms of retirement.

I do have his firm's info on file somewhere. And possibly could retrieve if you want to call him. (Assuming his ph number is still the same.)

10. This is even more amazing.

So, by court order, he was not to reveal this information to anyone, but he told you. And he told you he was under court order not to tell anyone. And then you spread this all over creation, including HuffPo, mentioning him by name? Wow. "Sorry, Dr. Bob, but this story was too good not to tell. So, I threw you under the bus."

It's either bullshit (my choice) or you are not the caring human being you pretend to be.

11. He told me to get the word out. So how is it amazing that that is what I am doing?

And if you google Robert Simon + Maryland + chemical + laboratory, you will get his info. I don't post ph numbers on any blogs as computer programs troll for those.

Some of the facebook pages have like a thousand RSVP's even in some generally tame cities.
