Drone spotted hovering over west Oakland - No word on who it belongs to or what it was doing - http://bit.ly/11ysGUp

On February 8th, 2013 at 3:50 pm a drone was sighted hovering above a neighborhood in West Oakland. There didn't seem to be a focus, it just maintained it's position above properties. It is not known at this point what agency or individual was operating the craft.

1. Welcome to the Police State, slipped in right under your nose.

Our government said 9/11 would "change everything."

2. Just north of Silicon Valley.

High tech firms all over the place. So-called drones are iconic geek hardware.

High school kids all over the world are hacking them together with off the shelf stuff for next to no cost. One guy sent a balloon into near space over the UK for a couple hundred bucks.

This tech is inexpensive, ubiquitous, and fairly easy to implement.

There will be no stopping this.

7. Report it to the FAA as a hazard

Also since it was clear what brand it was, jam the GCS frequency...it is not all that hard
