3. Oh yes please

I think Obama learned a lot from the early days when the republicans wouldn't compromise. I think if the house was reclaimed he would get a lot of things accomplished...now that thought gives me hope...hope and change is still the message I believe in.

LYNCHBURG, Virginia | Tue Sep 11, 2012 11:52am EDT (Reuters) - Sheryl Harris, a voluble 52-year-old with a Virginia drawl, voted twice for George W. Bush. Raised Baptist, she is convinced -- despite all evidence to the contrary -- that President Barack Obama, a practicing Christian, is Muslim. So in this year's presidential election, will she support Mitt Romney? Not a chance. "Romney's going to help the upper class," said Harris, who earns $28,000 a year as activities director of a Lynchburg senior center. "He doesn't know everyday people, except maybe the person who cleans his house." She'll vote for Obama, she said: "At least he wasn't brought up filthy rich." White lower- and middle-income voters such as Harris are wild cards in this vituperative presidential campaign. With only a sliver of the electorate in play nationwide, they could be a deciding factor in two southern swing states, Virginia and North Carolina. http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/09/11/us-usa-election-poll-bible-belt-idUSBRE88A05H20120911 I can see a down ticket impact from this. |

16. Hopefully, folks are just tired of the obstruction and give the president what he needs.

Like a Congress that isn't focussed only on blocking him.

6. Pelosi said they were going to win but then again she has to say that.
|
I'm guessing we'll get 10-15 seats if it's an ok night maybe 20 if we're really really lucky. I hope we get the 25 though.

9. Some new polls show the Democrats with a lead on the generic ballot.
|
Also, the Princeton University consortium on elections shows that Democrats will retake the house so long as they have at least a 3 point lead in the total votes tallied.

13. Im MUCH more worried about keeping the Senate than trying to take the House
|
GOP only needs +4 in the Senate to take control and RCP average has them at +5 right now. There are at least 6 Democrat seats in serious jeopardy. CT, WI, MT, ND, VA, and NE. Plus MO is still up in the air in my opinion.
Obama's coattails don't seem to be very long this time around. Even Massachusetts seems like they are willing to re-elect Scott Brown. |

14. I agree...
|
There's very little chance of us recapturing the House. But the GOP are looking well-placed to at least make incremental gains in the Senate.
