Dear
During my last campaign, I heard plenty of Jon Tester stories. That’s because my campaign manager, Stephanie Schriock, ran Jon’s campaign in 2006.
Stephanie always talked about how Jon was principled, how he always put Montana first, and how he never complained when it was call time -- even when he had been out on the trail all day and was really tired and the office was completely out of Diet Pepsi.
Later, I realized that last part was just something she said to make me feel bad about my own complaining. But the rest? Absolutely true. Jon’s been one of my favorite Senators from the moment he took office, and one of my favorite colleagues ever since I joined him.
That’s why it’s my honor to help him win in 2012 -- and Jon needs your help, too. He needs to raise $150,000 by the end of the month. Will you help with a contribution of $10 today?
Minnesota and Montana aren’t so different -- beautiful, friendly, windy -- and Jon and I often work together to help create good middle-class jobs, harness the potential of renewable energy, and protect our rural way of life.
But even when we disagree, I respect the heck out of the guy. That’s because he’s honest and thoughtful -- and there’s no doubting that he always does what’s right for his constituents in Montana.
He had a close election in 2006. He’s gonna have another one this year. And he needs us today. It was people like Jon that stood by me when my race was too close to call. I know how every nickel counts in campaigns.
Will you help? Make a contribution right now to help him reach his monthly goal of $150,000.
When it was me facing a wave of attack ads and needing help, Jon was always there. It’s our turn. Let’s step up for a good guy.

Thanks,

P.S.: Jon Tester is famous for always leading with his Montana values -- and one day, perhaps I’ll be famous for always ending my fundraising emails with my patented “extra ask” in the P.S. So won’t you help me help Jon Tester win by making a contribution today?
