What does it say about Republicans

that they freaked out and were "offended" by the pro-America and pro-jobs message of the Clint Eastwood ad? There was nothing about Democrats or the bailout or Obama in the ad, just about banding together to get things done and bring industry back. And they went nuts. They were totally outraged.

What does this say about them? Essentially, everything we have suspected: they are far more interested in their party and their own political power than in helping America and their fellow citizens. I think this outrage says it all about them.

the idea that Eastwood said "halftime" ... an implication, possibly, that this was only the first term of Obama's two?

3. Maybe...but the more likely point was that it was halftime - of the Super Bowl Game.

I'm at loss the explain why the Republicans would even bring up this ad as being somehow pro-Obama. I guess they dislike an optimistic message in support of this country. But they are simply reconfirming what we already know - they are anti-American at their core. They win when we lose...they lose when we win. Pretty stupid politics if you ask me.

you're bloody and beaten and down by 21 to the opponent, but you can catch your breath and be the band of misfits that are heroic despite the odds.

It's so ingrained into every team sports movie I am surprised you or Republicans need to draw a direct parallel only to Obama and not the entire state of our fucked up economy which hit U.S. car companies and people in the auto industry extremely hard.

don't give a damn about the country. They are only interested in what lines their pockets with more money, and that wealth doesn't extend to the poorer republicans that are fed propaganda to vote them in ...

Their only interest is getting Obama out of office, he is an obstacle to their agenda of turning America into a dystopia.

This is a classic case of Republicans trying to drag the Democratic party and Obama through the mud. They will most likely stop at nothing to win, I don't understand why they made such a big deal. There is no way that the Clint Eastwood ad can/should be misconstrued as to be pro-Obama... They are ridiculous

the Subpar Bowl ad merely added to their growing frustration. Frankly, it would surprise me if the folks at Chrysler HADN'T thought about this and knew it would create a political tempest in a teapot for a few days. Now, instead of just having a highly watched ad at halftime that many people loved....they have an ad making its rounds all over the social media universe and blogosphere.

But, I don't think they were coordinating with a Barack 2012 campaign or otherwise trying to directly say "Vote for Barack". It was more of a feel-good advertisement reflecting the mood of the people here that we are experiencing a rebirth of our optimism and getting ready to work hard for a better future after some really grim times.
