Good news! The Komen fiasco/reversal is proof that America is Liberal, Progressive and RATIONAL

America is not conservative, evangelical, right-wing or even center-right as every Republican claims. That meme is dead.

Now, I don't believe for a second that Komen's reversal is sincere, but it doesn't change the facts. America isn't what Republicans think it is.

1. I think the organization may have come to the realization....

that this move alienated many top donors to placate a group that only opens it's checkbook to organizations that work proactively to end Roe/Wade. Mere political statements mean little to those who call themselves "pro-life".

Evidence of this comes from my Democratic congressman Tim Ryan (OH). Though he labels himself "pro-life" conservatives are unimpressed because he doesn't actively work to end abortion, and they throw everthing they have at him every election year. Just saying you're against abortion is not what those people want.

Komen is done - first they pissed off the left who, in the last few days, have found several other worthy organizations to support and now they'll be pissing off the right for caving. That PR woman is getting exactly what she deserves.
