A new Associated Press-GfK poll found that 53 percent of American adults would prefer to raise taxes in order to ensure Social Security’s solvency, while just 36 percent would cut benefits. 65 percent of Democrats and 53 percent of independents were willing to increase taxes, while only 38 percent of Republicans agreed. Social Security’s life could be extended for the next 75 years by simply raising the payroll tax cap that currently limits Social Security contributions to the first $110,100 in income.

If the cap on wages that are subject to FICA contributions was lifted it would fix Social Security. It's not complicated.
