they would change their shopping habits just because some advocacy group tells them to.

"Funny that JC Penney thinks hiring an open homosexual spokesperson will help their business when most of their customers are traditional families," the million (or so) moms write on their website. "DeGeneres is not a true representation of the type of families that shop at their store. The majority of JC Penney shoppers will be offended and choose to no longer shop there."

In Dec 1978. I was reading the posts on the facebook page, and most if not all support JCP. And the "million mom's" have only 30,000 friends at facebook. LOL! They better do an inventory.

A lot of her viewers are Moms who have absolutely no problem with her just the way she is. Are these asshats also boycotting Cover Girl cosmetics, since Ellen is also a spokesperson for them?

Maybe you should wake up and get into this century where there are a number of diverse people. Would you have been arresting Rosa Parks back in the '60s because she wouldn't sit in the back of the bus? That was accepted policy back then.

Stay out of my bedroom and I'll stay out of your life. Next time you say you want government to be smaller and stay out of our lives then you should actually think about what you are saying and not just repeating platitudes the wealthy white men tell you to say.

JC Penney's executives would be fools to drop Ellen Degeneres. From what I've seen of her show, she's bright, outgoing, and a good tv talk-show host. Whatever her sexual orientation, she manages to convey an appealing persona where her own sexuality is a side issue, not a public one.

In short, she looks wholesome as well as looks pretty. She also acts pleasantly, which is more than I suspect can be said of the so-called "Million Moms" trying to bluff and bully JC Penney.

I seriously doubt there's a Million of them anyway. You know they can't count past ten unless they take their shoes off!
