‘Poor’ Quote by Romney Joins a List Critics Love
Obsessive attention to detail suffuses Mitt Romneys candidacy for president, from the number of times staff members check the microphones at his rallies to their relentless scouring of Twitter.
But Mr. Romneys aides cannot always bring that well-known level of discipline to one crucial aspect of the campaign: their candidates seemingly endless ability to utter remarks that, to the delight of his critics, sail onto political blogs, YouTube and Twitter.
On Wednesday morning in an interview with CNN, Mr. Romney said, Im not concerned about the very poor, a sound bite that ricocheted around the Web and cable news channels, and which Mr. Romney felt the need to clarify with reporters as he flew to Minnesota.
The comment captivated the political chatter, at least for the day, because it seemed to reinforce what might be his rivals most potent line of attack against him: that Mr. Romney, with a net worth estimated at $200 million, is out of touch and unable to relate to struggling Americans.

Mark Levin even went off today Romney-bashing and even complained that Romney talking about the middle class equaled Obama-style class warfare. (Audio is below, comments on Romney starting at 3:00 mark, class warfare remarks are at the 9:30 mark)
Levin opposes universal health care on the grounds that it violates "individual sovereignty".
(in case you want to know why i posted a clip of Groucho Marx on laughing gas (that's rival 6-9PM host Michael Savage's insult towards Levin), it was because i peeked at the Levin show to get a conservative's view of the Florida primary. In fact, I regularly watch the PBS NewsHour at 3PM Pacific and Norman Goldman the next two hours. Today I listened online to WJR Detroit for Levin's opening rant as WJR plays the Levin show delayed by 2 hours. Heh heh, Levin must rack up ratings during those competitive primetime hours.)
