Wow. The Hillary attack threads are multiplying. I wonder why.

Oh, here's why:

Her lead is going back up to 31 points, and 23.5 point in the poll of polls.

Hillary Clinton has followed a successful debate performance by rebounding in the contest for the Democratic presidential nomination in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll, regaining ground against Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden alike.

With anticipation surrounding Biden at a peak, Clinton has 54 percent support in interviews Thursday through Sunday, compared with Sanders’ 23 percent and Biden’s 16 percent. That’s 12 percentage points better for Clinton than her position a month ago, bringing her halfway back to her level of support in the spring and summer, before her September stumble.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2016/president/us/2016_democratic_presidential_nomination-3824.html

Folks, she's winning because she's running a great campaign, and the Democratic party supports her.

...without a single vote cast.

Running and wagering this election by the polls will come back and bite the party in the ass. Here folks are running around claiming Hillary has the election sewn up (after brushing off complaints about 'inevitability' all last year), and you're wondering why her opposition is challenging her?

Look, the Republicans have been doing this for years and appears some are here on DU doing the same. Hillary did very well in the debate, did an excellent job restoring before the Benghazi committee, she is strong and experienced, she did not bend in the first debate and I don't think she will bend in the future debates. I stand harder against Sanders every time I read another useless attack.

From some of the post I dont think Sanders are his supporters can handle the attacks on Sanders.

When Hillary was First Lady of Arkansas, the state's Democratic Party was strong, and the Republican Party was weak, in most places with the notable exception of the Northwest. Hillary was rubbing shoulders with the state's richest Republican, Sam Walton, as well as with her Republican buddies in the Rose Law Firm, not to mention Jackson Stephens, who, along with his wife, were big Reagan supporters and were known as "Mr. and Mrs. Republican of Arkansas."

So please don't try to bullshit me by saying she was fighting off the Republican hordes in Arkansas.

Some of us are going for the change we thought we were gonna get over the last 8 years.

Some of us consider the game to be rigged, and are asking for new referees.

Some of see this as the last chance in our lifetimes...

Some of us see this as the last chance for an inhabitable planet.

Too name a few.

Reuters/Ipsos out today has HRC @ 53 and sanders at 33 & that's the most recent poll--and yes I see that you are using an aggregate, but given the tension in the last couple of days, I think it's fair to look at the most recent poll & take that into account as well.

I do not. I hate the attacks from both sides. I hate Hillary supporters calling Bernie sexist or racist. I do not believe he is either. I have chosen Hillary as my candidate, but I completely distance myself from the rabid supporters who want to attack Sanders. I personally think that Sanders is a great person who is bringing a lot to the table that needs to be discussed.

I wish people here could be more civil. As I have said before and I have seen others say, it is really only a few posters who continue with the nasty threads about either candidate. We should be better than this. Why can we not talk about issues each candidate espouses instead of throwing sexism, racism, etc into the mix?

I do not believe either candidate is racist or sexist. I used to have a boss way back in the day when I drove a taxi part time. Taxi drivers are outspoken, blunt and foul-mouthed folk believe you me. His favorite thing to say at meetings when tempers were high (often) was "People please" followed by just listen or stop it or some such.

I think of that now. So people please. Can we just stop it?
