If we have one of the most expensive health care systems in the world, then who do you think is making the profit? The insurance companies and the pharmaceuticals are rolling in the dough from Medicare. When Romney takes the money from those industries he will be told that the nonsense of scaling back WILL be quietly dropped after the election should he end up winner. Maybe the 1% are the biggest supporters of expanding certain parts of Medicare?
