Fox News framing: Obama Escalates Personal Attacks on Romney

This sort of thing infuriates me. It's just so transparently disingenuous.

There may have been a time in the not-too-distant past when politicians would have felt a bit embarrassed about accusing their colleagues of intentionally scuttling the country’s future for their own short-term gain. That time seems to be long gone. Talk about questioning someone’s patriotism.

Now we add to this the claim that Romney is seeking to raise taxes on the working class to enrich the rich. That’s even more heinous.

None of this is about policy. A policy debate might center on whether Romney’s tax-cut plan would work or not. This is a character assault on the red team. The message from the president is that Romney doesn’t mind hurting the poor to make the rich richer.

Romney is trying to build some credibility on middle-class issues, but a sustained character assault such as this could make that very hard.

Just wow. By "character assault" Fox actually means "presenting actual facts about Romney's tax plan." Also, Obama is the one questioning Mitt's patriotism? Romney surrogates have literally questioned Obama's patriotism. ("Obama needs to learn how to be an American")

And, seriously, "none of this is about policy"? Obama is pointing out the truth about Romney's tax policy. Sure, it's politics to point out that Romney will personally benefit from his policy, but that doesn't mean that "none of this is about policy."

1. Four years of Fox framing on the President has left him with a 20-point edge on Romney in likability

I wouldn't worry.

2. Double down on the attacks. Double the ad buys. Step up the rhetoric.

Apologies are for weaklings and Dick Durbin.

3. "The Message From The President Is Romney Doesn’t Mind Hurting The Poor To Make The Rich Richer."

Simple enough for Faux News to understand, Ma'am, and something which must be restated in order to attempt to argue with it....

A beautiful attack line!

"Romney loves America like a tick loves a dog."

9. Dear Fox: A personal attack is that Romney is a liar, is stiffer than a 2x4, is an angry narcissist

(now, we all know those things to be true,) But that is not what President OBama's campaign has said.

A NOT personal attack is: Pointing out that Romney's tax plan benefits only the top 5% of Americans. Pointing out that Romney hasn't even released ONE complete tax returns. Pointing out that Romney's stories don't add up about when he left Bain. Pointing out that Romney didn't "save" the Olympics, the taxpayers money did at a rate higher than any Olympics in history. Pointing out his OWN words. Pointing out the millions Romney has overseas to avoid paying his fair share of taxes.

Those "attacks" are called campaigning, dumbasses. Know the difference.

13. We need to boycott Cable companies for allowing Fox on them

This getting pretty bad. either the House and Senate get the balls to ban Faux news or we need to boycott all cable companies who allow them to be on their systems. Enough is enough of false news and lies.
