Hillary Clintons Statement on the Endorsement of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting IndustryI am honored to have earned the endorsement of the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry--a proud union of more than 340,000 hardworking, skilled Americans.
Unions like the UA helped build this country, one construction project at a time, building the mighty American middle class as they did. Today, our infrastructure is in a deplorable state. As President, I will fight to get the economy working again for all Americans with a national strategy to invest in infrastructure.
That includes a comprehensive plan for modernizing our county's energy infrastructure to build a clean, secure and affordable energy future from repairing and replacing outdated pipelines, to investing in cleaner energy sources, including renewable energy, natural gas and nuclear power.
And I will stand with my brothers and sisters in the UA by fighting against Republican efforts to roll back labor protections and pass harmful right to work laws that undercut workers. I will fight to protect union collective bargaining rights and prevailing wage standardsbecause when unions are strong, America is strong.
UA Endorses Hillary Clinton
Hillary Clinton brings a unique blend of experience to the office of President of the United States, said Plumbers and Pipefitters Union General President William P. Hite in announcing the endorsement. She is a skilled diplomat and a tough negotiator, yet she also has great compassion for working families. She is committed to rebuilding our countrys aging infrastructure, especially our water and waste water systems, and all facets of the energy sector, including pipelines, nuclear and natural gas. These are top priorities for the United Association of Plumbers and Pipefitters and for the whole country. Im confident Secretary Clinton will provide the leadership to get the job done. She will help America become stronger, more competitive and create quality jobs in the process.
Hillary Clinton has stood side by side with workers fighting for the right to organize and against harmful labor policies such as Right to Work, Hite said. He noted that in the end, this election will come down to which candidate will work the hardest to resolve the persistent problems of income inequality and restore dignity and fairness in the workplace. Hillary Clinton knows that when unions are strong, America is strong. We are proud to endorse her for President of the United States.

(70 posts)because Sanders is for labor, and always has been.
The upper management already sold out to Clinton. The workers don't agree.

(146,286 posts)It's not restricted to union members at all. Because of that, it's impossible to tell whether the comments are coming from members of that union or from other people. Worthless in determining the opinion of members. A few have stated that they are members. The rest are just posting comments.

(7,143 posts)Hillary Clinton is racking up union endorsements, landing the support on Monday of a major national labor organization and another key group in the first-in-the-nation primary state of New Hampshire.
The United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry, which has 340,000 members, announced in a statement it would back the former secretary of States bid for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Its the fourth national labor union to announce its support for Clinton as she seeks to beat back a challenge from Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, who is aggressively courting the support of union workers.
In addition, the New Hampshire chapter of the National Education Association, which has 16,000 members, said Monday it will also support Clinton for president. The endorsement gives Clinton the backing of the biggest public employee union in a critical early-voting state.
My bold.

(94,502 posts)WASHINGTON, Sept. 9, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- No presidential candidate is better qualified than Hillary Clinton to occupy the White House. Moreover, there is only one candidate Hillary Clinton who can lead American workers to triumph in the face of today's hostile political climate, difficult financial times, and relentless attacks against the right to organize. That is why on September 8, 2015, the Executive Board of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers (BAC) voted unanimously to endorse Secretary Clinton as BAC's candidate for President of the United States.
Said BAC President James Boland after the Board's vote, "BAC members need both a fighter and collaborator-in-chief in the White House to create economic growth that works for everyone, not just a few. Secretary Clinton understands and champions the issues that concern our members most from job creation and infrastructure investment to the value of apprenticeship and training programs among many others. Her values and priorities are our values and priorities, and she can count on the support of our members and union now and through the general election."

Unions endorsed Obama.
He almost immediately threw them under the bus.
Maybe they should wise up and endorse someone who WON'T throw them under the bus.
