Shays will not support McMahon if she wins

http://politicalwire.com/archives/2012/07/23/shays_will_not_support_mcmahon_if_she_wins.html

"Said Shays: "I have never run against an opponent that I have respected less -- ever -- and there are a lot of candidates I have run against."

He added: "I think it is like the story of the emperor with no clothes. You have a candidate who is basically giving the finger to all the editorial boards. She is not willing to come before you and respond to all your questions. She is basically saying... and it is a huge distortion to say, she is out there meeting the public and that is the better way to do it -- bullshit."

Some things she (Mc Mahon) and Romney have in common.

A LOT of money
Willing to spend that money again and again to get elected.
Huge egos
Willing to say anything to get elected
Both come from businesses with the heavy sleaze factor
Neither will be forthcoming about their tax returns.

I am sure there are more if I had the time.

Sometimes they become crass and sleazy, like Joe Lieberman, of course, when they started out differently. But McMahon is in a class by herself and it is at the scuzzy bottom.

Shays was one of those old fashioned CT republicans and got thrown out after years in the House. He speaks for a lot of republicans who despise McMahon and her ilk. His words may carry some weight.

Our likely Dem candidate, Rep. Chris Murphy, is impressing me a lot. He has an ad out now that talks about jobs he has brought to CT and actually tells us how this happened. He will win the primary and will win the Senate seat.
